"I don't think i can trust you." hyunjin said, pretending the past words didn't affect him at all. he grabbed my hand tightly, and dragged me out even though i was protesting.
i thought he was being inconsiderate, but i also understood how living with what was probably a lie hurt him just now.
"are you alright?" jeongin hurriedly asked, searching for any injuries with his eyes. i shook my head, and he sighed in relief. i noticed how chan and han were still with ateez. i wondered what they were talking about, but we were too far away to hear their conversation.
"don't you think you should have let his confession run through your head just a tad bit longer?" i faced hyunjin, who obviously had a lot on his plate at the moment. i worried i was driving him to his limit and i feared getting yelled at for some reason.
despite my expectations he faintly smiled while looking at me with that look that let me know he was in love with me. or so i imagined. "don't worry about it. i know what i'm doing." i doubted it, but i also knew hyunjin wasn't a stupid man, so i decided to trust him.
the rest of stray kids finally found us, and after making it clear i was fine once again, it began to get quieter.
chan stepped out to us. he looked like he had some news. "they'll join us. we'll get that bastard of a man called choi chinhae." that was my father's full name.
