"READY?" han asked. we weren't about to waste any time now. this was perfect. four members of ateez had become goners, and it would only be a matter of time until the rest joined them.

"felix! hurry uppp!" bang chan ordered. we were all waiting for him. our plan was to surprise the gang and my dad, since we could easily take them down now.

hyunjin's mission a few days ago was to check ateez's place out. he was supposed to find any entrance that we could use to quietly get in. and surely, he had found just that. what a smart guy he was.

finally, felix came into sight. "coming!" yesterday, he had dyed his hair brown, which was suiting him extremely well. he quickly put something in his jacket, then came over to us. we hurriedly got into the cars and started driving towards our destination.

hyunjin was letting his fingertips slide over my thigh over and over again as he watched them. he was acting as if it was the most interesting thing ever. he had immediately sat beside me when i had entered one of the two vehicles.

"what's up with you, hyune?" i asked him. i was amused at his behavior. i was wondering how a so intimidating looking man could be so caring and sweet towards someone. he looked me in the eyes, his lips being slightly parted. "just.. admiring..." was his response, even though it sounded like he wanted to add something. i let him have some time to say some more, yet he never used that time.

it left me confused, especially since his face was saying the exact same thing. there was a question or a phrase in his head that was his main thought at the moment.

lino scoffed. "can't you flirt when i'm not there? i'm cringing." he made his voice sound like he had just gone through hours of torture, which made me laugh.

we had arrived. well, somewhat. the cars were parked one or two corners away to avoid suspicion. as if 9 people didn't attract enough eyes anyways.

the mansion was huge. it had some chrome silver accents, if i wasn't mistaken. hyunjin swiftly lead us to the door at the back he had spotted the other day. changbin stood right in front of it, while the other members were pressing themselves against the wall, making sure the cameras wouldn't catch them.

"how do you want me to open it? when i kick it down they will know something's up." changbin stated, his hand putting light force against the material. we all exchanged looks until felix pulled out a white card. "try this."

"i don't think sliding a card through the crack is gonna work felix." he crossed his arms. the brunette sighed. "no dumbass, that's the key."

changbin's mouth formed an 'o' and he snatched the small object from his member. he whispered something along the lines of 'makes sense.' "how'd you get that?"

"it was in san's jeans pocket."

without any problems, the door opened, and we were now officially in enemy territory. a few of the members had their hands on their weapons, others were listening for any noise. nothing. it was quite silent. "we'll split up." chan said, and quickly formed groups. i was with jeongin, seungmin, han and changbin.

we searched for enemies in any room we could find, but, there were a lot of rooms. not too few were empty, some had only a single bed in them. weird.

if you were to enter an unfamiliar home, you'd think you'd hear people talking, walking, or even making food. there was nothing. so, we concluded they had somehow seen us.

"let's check that one." seungmin pointed at yet another room. he went through the same procedure: listening for any noise coming from there, grabbing the handle and preparing to slam it open, doing just that a second later. however, this looked like someone was actually living in there, or had been living there recently. there were pictures hung up on the wall. in some every member was smiling. there was one where they were all at a beach, being as happy as one could be. if i hadn't known better, i would've thought they were they nicest people imaginable.

suddenly, i was dragged out of the room with my mouth covered. the guys were inspecting the room, so they didn't notice anything. i didn't know where i was being brought to, but it was on the second floor. it didn't even take me three seconds to realize i was dealing with mingi. he had no trouble with picking me up, and carrying me to what appeared to be their office. one thing i really despised was that there was no fighting back possible for me.

soon, i was greeted with somewhat familiar faces. there was hongjoong, seonghwa, wooyoung, and, well, mingi. yet my father was nowhere to be seen.

"i should kill you for what you've done." mingi spat, his eyes revealed he had been crying these past days.

i glared at him. "you're bold for saying that, considering what you've done to hyunjin. besides, yuqi never even liked you like that. you were a money machine to her."

he looked at me with shock, and i couldn't help but feel the tiniest bit bad. it didn't take long until a tear escaped his eye. he sat down next to seonghwa, leaving me standing in the middle of the room. "i.." he began, but then began to sob. seonghwa comforted him, and i was in a state of pure confusion.

"everything i said was a lie." he managed to say. he tried to pull himself together, though it was barely working.

"y/n." hongjoong started. he was really intimidating, even though he wasn't as tall as his other members. "i think you should know what really happened with soobin and kkami."

the atmosphere changed. maybe i was being naive, but i decided to listen.
