Ghosts Can't Buy You

Together, Riya and Julie inspected every last room from the right side of Carrie's house and found various rooms that Riya didn't even know belonged in a house, like an indoor cinema with a cotton candy maker and floor to ceiling screen.
And while Riya thought it incredibly amazing, except for the trespassing part, her and Julie were still no closer to finding any of the guys. Until a severe twist of questionable faith made Riya glance outside the large window by the living room looking towards the outdoor pool to find three figures.
One with blonde hair and a jean jacket with a black fanny pack to his back. The other wore a black leather jacket with matching slicked back hair and a red flannel hanging by the waist. And the last as the significantly more noticeable with a long blue trench coat with different coloured patchworks and the brown shaggy hair Riya could recognize in her sleep.
Just the ghosts they had been looking for.
Julie tried tugging Riya along towards the left side of the second floor, but it was Riya who tugged her backwards twice as strong, her sneakers squeaking against the floor before she stumbled on to Riya.
Riya only needed to point out towards the boys before Julie's nostrils flared, whether it be anger or annoyance Riya didn't know, whatever the case Julie began dragging Riya back down the stairs and towards the exit.
Somehow Flynn was still talking, something about raccoons from the few words Riya gathered. She spotted the two girls silently creeping behind the couch where Nick and Carrie were still sitting at, Flynn quickly pulling out her phone to distract them both for Julie and Riya to move past unseen.
Although Riya hoped something else had remained unseen, like having to watch the guys pull their pants down to moon Trevor Wilson's retreating helicopter.
Not wanting to view such an imagine in anything outside of her imagination and with Julie charging like a truck with no breaks, Riya covered her eyes with her free hand, allowing Julie to lead the way through her tugs.
Riya knew Julie wouldn't walk her straight into the pool, or off the cliff, or allow her to trip anywhere. She trusted Julie enough to lead her along even with her sudden stops which made Riya crash into her back.
"So, did you guys have fun in there?" Between feeling the beating sun on her head and the slight laughter near silent against the breeze, Riya guessed they were now outside and right in front of the three ghosts.
"Do they have their pants on yet?" As a response Julie lowered Riya's hand just in time to see the guys finishing zipping up their pants.
The annoyance in Julie's face could've almost been mistaken for motherly anger, which made all the guys' faces to drop, staring at Luke, who was more in the receiving end of the attack.
"Okay, you'd do the exact same if he stole all your songs." Like attempted at excusing his behaviour, but between Julie's clear annoyance and Riya wanting to leave Carrie's house before Flynn ram out of topics to talk about, neither girl was in the mood for his excuses.
"But you have new songs. With us," Julie motioned between Riya and herself, Luke's shoulders sagging in defeat. While not much could be done about the past, the present and future were still there to consider more possibilities than the stolen songs. "The best way to get back at Trevor is for this band to do great. And to do great, we have to play at dances, then clubs."
