Ghosts Can't Stop
Her From Crying▶︎ •၊၊||၊|။||||။၊|• 3:49
Riya understood why suddenly all the guys wanted to escape Alex's pacing after watching Julie do the very same action for over ten minutes. Somehow watching her move across the room wringing her hands out made Riya even more nervous than she already was and if she could, she would have already considered poofing away.
"I'm sure they'll be fi—"
"I'm sorry." Riya and Julie respectively spoke at once, both clearly thinking of very different things regarding Julie's pacing.
On one side Riya had believed Julie was pacing because she was nervous about something going wrong with the guys and their whole plan to come crumbling down. Yet on Julie's side she had been anxious about a whole other thing more focused on the situation which happened the prior night.
Julie stomped her way to sit next to Riya over Luke's couch, sprawled over like a starfish while Riya herself was curled towards the corner holding a pillow to her chest.
"I'm truly sorry about how I treated you yesterday. You were just being a good friend by respecting the guys' boundaries, and it wasn't your secret to share. So I'm really sorry for acting the way I did," Julie looked away from Riya's full silent expression, rubbing at her face to relieve the stress coursing through her body. "I was only thinking of myself, how much losing the guys would affect me, I didn't even think of you. I mean, you and Luke just got together-"
"We're not togeth—"Riya tried correcting, but Julie was having none of it, having already starting her rant there was no stopping her.
"And you're losing him now. I can't even imagine what you must be feeling. Again, I'm sorry."
Riya reached over her pillow to gently hold Julie's shoulder, effectively gaining her attention. She tugged her lips into a sweet smile before leaning on Julie's shoulder hugging her side, an action Julie herself soon reciprocated.
"Apology accepted, even if it was unnecessary." The two girls laughed together, tightening their hold on each other.
The two ghost girls. A title Riya thought she'd never be able to share.
Three identical bursts of light beyond the coffee table made Riya and Julie jump to their feet, the boys materializing before the anxious girls with happy faces which either let Riya know it had all gone swimmingly or it was all doomed, and they didn't want to ruin their day. Riya didn't know which scenario was worse.
"Oh my gosh! What took you guys so long? Did Willie do it?"
"Is everything screwed? Are we going to need another plan? Do we even have another plan?" Riya followed Julie's sudden word-vomit, barely breathing between each syllable before jumping back into the sentence.
"Did you talk to them? Did they watch? Did they like us? Are we playing?"
"Oh my God, they hated us, didn't they? They absolutely hated us, and now we'll never even see the inside of the Orpheum!"
"Someone answer! Why's no one talking?" The three ghost shared various amused glances before settling back on the girls with still massive grins on their faces.
"Whoa! That's a lot of questions! Luke, you wanna take this one?" Reggie nudged Luke who rolled his eyes in return, yet still took charge of the situation before Riya and Julie combusted into ash simultaneously.
