This chapter, Tim and Gemma are going to be teased by Bruce, Barbara, and Dick... Maybe even Alfred will join in!
Gemma sat down in the fancy car with Barbara as Alfred drove.
"So... You and Tim, eh?" Barbara smirked.
"Wh-WHAT?!" Gemma exclaimed.
"Come on, it's obvious you like him and that he likes you, right?"
"I mean- Wha- and like." Gemma stuttered. She did NOT have a thing for Tim Drake. Right?
"Gemma and Tim sittin' in a tree..." Barbara sang to herself.
"Barbara!" Gemma sighed. She had only known Barbara for 30 minutes and Barbara was already talking about Gemma and Tim. Oddly, it reminded Gemma of Aunt Harley.
Barbara laughed a bit and Gemma giggled.
Meanwhile back at Wayne Manor, Tim, Bruce, and Dick were all playing foosball. Dick and Tim VS Bruce.
"So... When are you going to ask Gemma out?" Dick spun one of the rods.
Bruce raised one of his eyebrows.
"WHAT?" Tim's eyes looked like they could pop out of his head.
"Come on man. Don't try to deny it!" Dick laughed. "You look at her the way I first looked at Babs!"
Bruce thought for a second, but continued playing foosball. Tim and Gemma? Together? He thought back to when he had seen them together. Gemma did seem comfortable around him... And Tim's face lit up when she smiled...
Tim's face was crimson. Flustered, he shot the ball into the goal.
"You never answered my question." Dick started. "When are you gonna ask her out?"
Gemma and Barbara pulled up to Gotham City Mall. After parking the car, Gemma trailed after Barbara.
"Seriously though, you do like Tim, right?" Barbara asked, leading Gemma into one of the many stores.
Gemma blushed and took a black and red striped sweater off one of the racks. "Maybe..."
Barbara grinned, "I knew it!"
"But I can't date him. That'd just be weird." Gemma replied.
"Why would it be weird?" Barbara handed Gemma some jeans.
"Bruce thinks that he's going to be like my brother. And if that isn't weird enough, I basically live with him!" Gemma explained.
"It's only awkward if you make it awkward." Barbara said. "It's not like you share a room or anything."
Gemma shivered at the thought.
"I'm not even sure I like him though. I've known him for like 3 days."
"Ever heard of love at first sight?" Barbara winked.
"Is that how it was for you and Dick?" Gemma asked.
After thinking for a minute, Barbara replied, "Kind of. I've almost always had him in my life, and always had an attraction to him, but we saw other people before we got together."
"Then I'll just wait. Tim doesn't need to know this. He might not even feel the same way." Gemma stepped into a changing room.
Tim, Dick, and Bruce sat on a couch, watching Gotham University football.
"Go. GO. GO!" Dick yelled at the players through the tv screen.
"RUN!" Tim joined in.
Bruce chuckled to himself, watching his two apprentices.
"TOUCH-DOWN!" Tim and Dick screamed together.
The tv went to commercial and Bruce got up.
"Ooh Bruce can you make some popcorn?" Dick asked. "Butter and salt?"
"And milk duds too!" Tim added.
"No, then the chocolate had butter and salt in it and the popcorn has chocolate and caramel in it!" Dick argued.
Bruce chuckled, watching the 22 year old disagree with Tim.
"Milk duds!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"Never!"
"We can just split it into different bowls. That way Tim can have his milk duds." Bruce sighed, as he had grown tired of the arguement.
"Yay!" Tim cheered.
"So... Enough questions about my 'love life'." Tim mischeviously grinned. "What are you and Babs up to?"
Dick replied with a grin equally mischevious, "You'll find out at dinner."
"I swear if he asks her to marry him, I will ground them both." Bruce thought to himself.
