After touring the area, we went back to the hotel room, prepping for our interviews the next day. I was so nervous. I hope everything would go as planned.

The next morning, I woke up and put on my best outfit, ready to ace this interview. I met Austin at breakfast which was a magnificent spread. Austin was talking to someone on the phone. Once he was done, he turned to me.

"Hey, who were talking to?" I asked.

"Spencer." He answered, looking shyly at me.

"How is he? Does he know about the mission?" I said.

"Yes, a little. Anyways you ready for today?" He inquired.

"More than ready," I answered boldly.

"Let's go then." He said, opening the door for me.

He might not like me as more than a friend but he sure is sweet.

When we reached the palace, I could not believe how colossal it was. It was very antique with groutless bricks making up the whole building. The lawns were neatly kept and all the subjects were dressed well, making me feel quite intimidated. Austin noticed how nervous I was and held my hand. Weirdly I didn't blush this time. It's like my feelings for him had just vanished. Well, he was happy with Spencer, that's what matters.

We entered and a young lady came up to us.

"You must be the applicants for the interviews." She said, smiling broadly at us.

We nodded affirmatively.

"Right this way." She said leading us to a large room.

A gruff-looking man looked us up and down before offering us a seat. I was first so he called me, reviewed my documents, and asked me a few questions about my background. After that terrifying ordeal, I was escorted to meet the princess, who was out practicing archery. My palms were sweaty and couldn't wait to meet this mysterious princess.

"Bullseye." I heard someone say as we neared the outer field.

"Your majesty, here's the new PA." The servant informed her.

When she turned around to face us, I swear my heart skipped a beat. She was gorgeous. Her long, curly ginger hair tied up in a messy bun. Her beautiful blue eyes, her strongly defined features, and her plump lips. I don't think I have ever seen such a beautiful human.

"Hey, what you staring at?" She asked, her blue eyes staring into my soul.

"Nothing, your majesty," I answered, quickly looking down.

She walked up to me and held my chin up and looked at me.

"Looks like we got a shy one here." She said, a playful smirk playing on her lips.

She was so close to me, I found myself turning so red.

"Shall I show you to your room?" The servant asked, breaking the tension.

"Ye-yes." I stuttered.

"Excuse me, your majesty," I said, as I walked if not ran away before I said or did stupid.

When I got to my room, the first thing I did was call Cora. I told her everything that had happened including with Austin but I didn't tell her about my interaction with the princess.

"It's a really nice place," I told Cora.

"So Austin likes guys? Btw you look a little dazed, are you okay?" Cora asked, looking concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just the jet lag." I lied.

Truth is I was dazed, if not confused. What are these feelings I had suddenly developed for the princess?

I ignored it and quickly called Austin.

"How's it going for you?" I asked.

"Pretty good, just talked to Spencer. So I'm one of the servants. That's something to add to my CV." He said, chuckling.

"Lol, I'll go to sleep now. Goodnight." I said a smile on my face.

That night I couldn't think of anything else other than the princess. After a while, I finally dozed off. Quite unsure of how I would tackle the next day.

Looking outside my window that morning, the sky was a gorgeous baby blue, save for a few clouds. The day starts early here, I thought to myself. As I prepared, I heard a voice. Looking out the window, it was her, the princess, practicing archery. I couldn't help but stare at how she held the bow skillfully and shot with such precision.

"Ma'am, your breakfast is served." a baritone voice said.

Turning around abruptly, I faced the butler who had caught me red-handed staring at her majesty.

"How long have you been standing there?" I asked, quite embarrassed.

"Long enough to know someone has a little infatuation for her majesty." The butler answered, bringing my meal into the room.

"But let me offer a piece of advice, the princess is very aware of her beauty, therefore, any partner she finds somewhat....... replaceable so I would be careful if I were you." The butler cautioned as he wheeled his tray out of the room.

"Will do."

I ate my breakfast as I sat in deep thought. What did he mean by replaceable? Was I completely out of her league? All in all, it was best if I stayed away. Will save me a lot of trouble. Besides, I'm not good enough for her. After snapping myself back to reality, I headed to my office where I had some documents to arrange and an official meeting with the princess. I was not ready for that. On reaching the office, I was stunned at how large and spacious it was. A mahogany desk in front of a chestnut brown cupboard with neatly arranged files. The view of the famous Lake Azov was breathtaking, to say the least. I sunk in my chair ready for my mission.
