April and Ray find themselves in the bros' lair, where they come across Leo crouching by a pillow fort. Curious, April asks Leo what he's up to, and he hushes them, indicating they should be quiet. Just then, they hear Mikey's screams coming from inside the fort, and it collapses. Among the debris, Mikey's tablet lands near Leo, who picks it up to see what he was watching.
"What'cha watching, Miguel?" Leo inquires. Mikey excitedly responds, "Ohmigosh, ohmigosh! I was just watching my favorite can stacking channel." April looks puzzled but accepts it, saying, "Can stacking. Okay."
Ray playfully chimes in, "Hey, it's for those with a different taste." Mikey explains further, "It's a thing. There's this one supermarket stock boy who builds forts, towers, and even national monuments out of cans." Mikey shows them the channel he was watching and points out the dark-skinned boy featured in the videos.
"Yeah, I see his channel has a lot of likes," Leo observes, intrigued by the content. Ray adds, "He looks familiar."
Mikey, enthusiastic about the creator's work, exclaims, "I would like it twice if I could. Anyway, he's at the store after hours, and... you gotta see it!" Mikey scrolls down the channel's page and selects a video titled "The Gumbus"
"And now I shall attempt the most challenging stack of all, a feat only accomplished by one other stockboy. The Lady Liberty Sta-" the boy's words are interrupted by a loud crash. "Hello? Is someone there?" he asks, turning the camera around. The boy searches the area, but there's no one to be found. A can rolls by, causing him to let out a startled scream. Something eerie and ghostly seems to be lurking in the darkness. Suddenly, something grabs him, and he lets out another chilling scream before looking at the camera one last time. "It's the Gumbus!" he cries, and the video abruptly ends.
"What's a Gumbus?" April asks, clearly intrigued. Mikey replies, "It's a ghost that haunts the Stock N Shop."
Leo immediately dismisses the idea of ghosts, saying, "Pfft. There's gotta be a simple explanation. Earthquakes, magnets, giant prankster mice. There's no such thing as ghosts."
Ray playfully disagrees, "Come on, Leo. How can you say there's no such thing as ghosts when we exist?" She holds up her box turtle as an example.
"Exactly! The Gumbus is real!" Mikey adds, seemingly convinced.
"You're siding with Mikey?" Leo questions Ray.
With a smile, Ray responds while holding Mikey close, "Yes, yes I am."
"Suck it, Leo," Mikey exclaims, playfully hugging Ray.
April takes charge, suggesting, "Only one way to settle this heated debate. We head up to the Stock N Shop and tamper with the mysterious forces of the underworld."
Mikey, a bit nervous but determined, says, "I'm fine, just getting the pants scared off of me, my pillow fort, and my bestie."
Leo agrees, "Oh no, April's right. I'm gonna prove to you there's no such thing as a Gumbus."
Ray encourages Mikey, "Come on, Mikey, we can prove Leo wrong. And who knows, we might become the Ghostbusters ourselves!"
Excitedly, April cheers, "Yeah! Ghost hunting!"
With a plan in mind, the group leaves the lair, ready to investigate the mystery of the Gumbus.
At the Stock N Shop, the girls and the two turtles enter through the vent, with Mikey surprisingly carrying a vacuum cleaner. Leo can't help but wonder why he brought such a device. "Mikey, why do you have that thing?" Leo asks curiously.
"To suck up the ghost, of course. It's lined with tin foil to keep him in," Mikey explains, referencing Ghostbusters. Ray joins in, "You ever watch Ghostbusters? It's like their 'sucky thing' without all the nuclear stuff."
