It was just another ordinary school day for Ray Kokei until whispers about an underground DJ hangout started circulating around the halls. Ray, grabbing some books from her locker, overheard a kid excitedly talking about it being in an abandoned garage not far from their school.

"We should check it out," one of Ray's friends suggested with enthusiasm. However, Ray couldn't help but feel a bit hesitant. "As if my parents would ground me if they found out," the other friend replied, echoing Ray's concerns.

Seated in her physics class next to April, the excitement about the hangout continued. April leaned over and whispered, "Ray, did you hear about the DJ hangout? It's all anyone is talking about."

With a knowing grin, Ray replied, "Yeah, it's definitely the hot topic around here. But you know me, nothing gets past these ears," playfully pointing to her ears.

Eager to experience the underground scene, April suggested, "We should totally go with the guys! It'll be so much fun."

Ray hesitated for a moment, "I can't, I... uh... have a family thing," she stammered, feeling guilty about making up an excuse.

"What kind of family thing?" April inquired, sensing that something might be off.

Ray took a deep breath a"I've been thinking," she admitted. "I've been a bit mean and hard on my step-father and brother. And well they've been patient with me so...I wanted to get to know them better by spending some time with them "

This caught April by surprised but she was glad Ray is trying, she said somewhat dejectedly, "Oh... well, I guess we'll go another time then."

Feeling bad about letting April down, Ray placed a comforting hand on her friend's back and said, "I promise we'll go together some other time. Maybe next weekend or whenever they have another event. We'll make it happen."

"This is awesome!" Mikey exclaimed as he listened to a soundtrack made by Ray. "You really think so?" Ray asked, genuinely happy that Mikey liked it. "Think so? I know so," Donnie chimed in, bobbing his head to the music. "This is the greatest soundtrack I've ever listened to," Raph added, clearly impressed.

Leo, trying to tease Ray, asked with a smirk, "Are you a DJ or something?" The innocent comment, however, made Ray a little anxious. "Where did you get that idea?" she asked nervously, hoping to downplay any suspicions.

Leo noticed her unease and quickly reassured her, "I'm just joking, Ray. Why are you so tense?"

"Oh, no reason. Um... so, you guys doing anything?" Ray asked, eager to change the topic and divert their attention away from her music skills.

Mikey was the first to respond excitedly, "Oh yeah, we are going to check out that super secret underground DJ hangout!"

Ray couldn't help but be concerned, "Really? But what about this whole situation?" she questioned, knowing that attending an underground event as mutant turtles might not be the best idea.

"Relax, Ray, we have a plan to blend in with all those humans," Donnie reassured her. The four brothers quickly put on hoodies and pulled the hoods over their heads. "Tada!" they shouted, showing off their "disguises."

Ray couldn't help but shake her head at their silliness. "You think people aren't gonna see through that?" she asked, trying to reason with them.

"What are you talking about? These are great disguises," Raph retorted defensively.

"What if the hood falls off?" Ray persisted, hoping to make them see the potential flaws in their plan.

"We'll make sure it doesn't," Donnie replied flatly, confident in their ability to handle any situation.
