BAKUGO'S POV

Today is one of those days I hate. I am off today, just sitting around my house. At least I have Chibi. I had been so busy the last three days that I crashed when I got home after caring for Chibi. Later we are supposed to meet at Dunce's. He and Eye Bags just bought a house. They said the stability of home ownership looks good on their application for adoption. The two idiots have been getting advice from Soy Sauce and Icy Hot about it since they have been through it twice.

I messaged Camposing this morning to let him know I wasn't dodging him, but I have yet to receive a reply. He is probably at work. I hope he isn't dealing with his ex today. That usually puts him in a terrible mindset. I guess it would, anyone, but to me, he seems more susceptible than most.

Nitro1991- Hey, there...

Shit. I typed and erased, and retyped that last message so many times. What the fuck is wrong with me? I want to make sure he is all right and knows I am not ghosting him, but fuck, I don't want to seem clingy. I'll just wait and see if he messages me back.

After lunch, I got Chibi all set, so I wouldn't have to worry about him while I was gone. I got myself ready and headed out.

I arrived at the address Dunce gave me quickly. The house is not too bad. It has a nice front yard, and the house sits back from the road a little, so the driveway is longer than some other houses on the block. Lots of trees, if you like that. It's a two-story, bigger than Shitty Hair's place, but nothing like mine. I parked in the drive since there was plenty of room. I made my way up the driveway, passing Icy Hot and Soy Sauces car as I approached the house.

I climbed the front steps and knocked on the wooden door with a hand-carved design. About two minutes went by before the door opened, revealing Dunce. He stood there with a smile. "Bakugo, come in, man."

I step into the house. "This is pretty nice, Dunce." Then I looked at Eye Bags. "You picked it out, didn't you? Not bad" I nodded, knowing Dunce Face didn't have this good taste. We stood in the small Fourier.

Off to one side of the stairs is a formal dining room. Dunce is taking me on a tour. "This we will use as the formal living room for guests who are not considered family." We made our way around the boxes. "We haven't had a chance to unpack yet." I nodded as I followed him back to the foyer and to the other side of the staircase. "This is the Family living room which leads to the dining room and kitchen. The floor plan is open on this side of the house. "This is where the family will gather when visiting, which includes our UA family. Because you guys are family."  In the back of the house is a mudroom, and laundry room, with a half bath.

We then made our way upstairs. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and the master suite with a full bath and walk-in closet. "This is nice, Dunce.'

He smiled at me. "Thanks, that means a lot coming from you."

Clicking my tongue, I said, "Whatever, it's not as nice as mine." I smirked at him.

"And there it is." He shook his head at me. We made our way back downstairs. As I took the last step down, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out faster than I should have. Dunce eyed me suspiciously.

Camposing1- Hey stranger. I'm sorry I didn't reply this morning. I was running late to work, but I'm about to leave work now. So we can chat if you want.😁

A grin worked its way onto my face. He brings it out in me for whatever reason.  Dunce smirked at me, asking. "Who are you talking to?"

My smile faded fast. "None of your business, Dunce. Go unpack something." I snapped at him.
