BAKUGO'S POV
He was wearing a suit and tie, as I requested All Might to tell him to wear. He looks so damn good in a suit and tie. He was slowly making his way up the sidewalk, looking around my massive home. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed him quickly before he could reach the front door.
He slid his phone out of his pocket quickly. He stared at the phone, debating on whether or not to answer. He eventually picked up.
"Hey, I can't talk long," he said quietly. "I'm about to start the date."
"Look up," I replied with a smirk. He couldn't see it, but he could probably hear it in my voice.
His gaze slowly looked up the three floors until he saw me on the roof. "Kacchan?"
I pulled the phone away from my ear and ended the call. "Get up here!" I yelled down to him before taking a few steps back. Within seconds, he was landing in front of me swiftly.
"Please tell me you didn't spend that much money to take me on a date that you could have taken me on for free," he sighed. Behind his sigh, I could see the happiness on his face.
"The money went to charity," I shrugged while raking my eyes up and down his body. I need to find more excuses to put him in a suit and tie. "Besides, did you really think I would ever let someone else take my boyfriend on a date?"
He smiled. "A rooftop date?" he questioned. I stepped to the side, revealing the picnic and candles behind me. I spent the entire day cooking and cleaning up the rooftop for us. Since I couldn't take him anywhere public because I didn't want anyone to know I had won, I figured this would be the best thing for us to do.
"Kacchan," he mused. "It's beautiful."
I reached out and grabbed his hand. "You look really nice, by the way," he added.
"So do you," I replied while leading him across the rooftop to the large blanket. "After we eat, I'll give you a house tour."
"I can't believe you live here," he said while looking up at the starry sky. "The outside is beautiful."
I released his hand, sat down, and patted the ground next to me. "It gets lonely a lot. With so many empty rooms, it feels too big. I loved it when I bought it because I always wanted the best of everything."
"You don't want the best of everything anymore?" he asked while I opened the lids to the containers in front of us.
"I have you, the kids, our friends, my parents, Cotton, and I'm living my dream of being a hero. I already have the best of everything. The house seems a little extra nowadays," I frowned. "I'm going to sell it eventually. As much as I love being a hero, I hate not being able to take time off and working overtime every week."
He flashed me a nervous smile before readjusting his tie. "I think eventually, I would like you to move in with the kids and me. I mean, we could also look for our own place that isn't by our friends. We could move back into the city, stay further away, or-" I leaned over and pressed my lips against his to end his rambling.
He squeaked against my lips in surprise.
"I know how much you love living by everyone. When we're at that point, I would love to come to stay there with you," I mumbled against his lips.
I pulled away from him and grabbed two plates before filling them with my homemade macaroni salad, egg sandwiches, rice balls, and habutae mochi. I handed him a plate and napkin before reaching for the most expensive bottle of wine I could find inside.
"Kacchan?" he questioned softly as I filled both of our glasses.
"Yeah?"
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before speaking again. "Thank you for this. For everything, really. Being there for the kids, helping with Ren and Itsuka, making sure I had a lawyer through everything, and everything else in between."
