BAKUGO'S POV
I stretched my arms over my head. Something heavy was on my chest. Looking down, I saw a sight that made me smile like an idiot. Green curls, Deku he was sleeping. I nudged him gently, "Hey, we gotta get up. We both have morning patrols." At least they weren't too early. We both have to be in by 8:30.
I am a little surprised I woke up before him. I stopped by to see him last night after my late-night patrol was over. We sat up and talked for a while after he told me Himari was staying the night with his mom and Daiki was at Shitty Hair's with the twin spawns. I decided that I didn't want to drive home.
Green eyes fluttered open, and that same idiotic smile took over his face as well. He snuggled into me more and groaned. "I don't wanna go." I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him closer.
"I know, but we have to." He groaned again and sat up.
We both climbed out of his bed. I made my way to the overnight drawer he had set up for me just for this reason. I grabbed my toothbrush and then made my way to the bathroom. It was bigger than the one in his rental. I stood in front of the double sink he had put in for us. They are nice black marble and set on a dark grey counter. They matched the black marble shower and toilet with its own room to separate it from the sinks. The grey slate flooring brought the entire look together.
Once I was done, I walked back into his room. He was in the middle of getting dressed, with his back to the bathroom door. I took in the scars he had on his back and upper arms; they told a story. The story of how he got his quirk and fought his way through a shit ton of hardships, and he still had a lot more to go through with his ex. With an aching heart, I walked up behind him, taking him by the waist. He jumped slightly. "Kacchan, don't do that. You scared me."
I wrapped my arms around him from behind and placed my head on top of his. He doesn't like it when I do that. I think it reminds him how short he is. "Kacchaaan," he whined at me. I wanted to lighten my mood, so I started to tickle him. As he squirmed and laughed, he got loud. I never heard the tiny footsteps.
"Daddy, you kay?" We both froze, turning to look in the direction of Daiki's voice. I was unaware he was home.
Deku turned three shades of red before answering. "Hey, buddy, yeah, Daddy is okay."
Daiki looked around the room, at us, and then pouted as he climbed on the bed and stood almost eye level with the nerd. He put his hands on his hips and pinched his brows at us. "You did sleeps over wit not me?"
We looked at each other and then back at him as Deku laughed nervously. "Yeah, something like that." I couldn't help but chuckle at the predicament we found ourselves in. This felt like a nice little light-hearted change from the shit Deku has been putting up with.
Little green eyes held furrowed brows. "Next sleeps over better has me." He said as he pointed at his own chest.
He looked rather unhappy, so I told Deku. "I got this." He looked at me and waved me forward as if to say go ahead, give it your best shot.
I placed my hands on his tiny shoulders. "Next time, me, you, your dad, and Himari can make a blanket fort in the living room and stay up all night watching movies and stuffing our faces with snacks that you normally can't have. How about that?"
Jumping up and down, he let out one of the cutest sounds I have ever heard. The only other person I ever heard make that sound was his dad when we were kids. "Can Cotton and Kiyo come too?" He asked me with excitement plastered across his face.
"Yes, of course, they can." I chuckled before smiling at him.
Just then, Deku's phone rang. "Hello, oh hey yeah, just come on in, it should be open. I just unlocked it with my app. We're in my room."
