The next morning, Mercedes recieved a call from Clint. He explained to her what had happened at the party. He also explained to her why her father thought it was necessary to even have a party. She thought it was dumb, but she simply shrugged it off. She was worried about the attack that happened at the party though.

Apparently, her father and Dr. Banner had been working on a suit of armor around the world, or something like that. To her understanding, which all from Clint's explanation, they were trying to help everyone be safer and such. Which, obviously it didn't turn out in their favor, but they did try. Clint was a little unhappy about it, but Mercedes explained to him that things like that happen.

He also explained some things about the two people that attacked him and the others the day before. Apparently, the two were twins and teenagers. One was a boy named Pietro Maximoff, and the other was a girl, Pietro's sister, named Wanda. Pietro was super fast and rather strong, and apparently Wanda could move things with her mind, but they didn't know exactly how much she could do yet. They were almost certain she could read minds, and maybe more, but they didn't know if she knew she could.

Since they were only kids, Clint wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but he also knew it wasn't exactly safe to assume they weren't strong or were easily subdued. He had fought quite a few young HYDRA agents before that were really strong, and wouldn't back down from a fight, even if that meant they would die. He just wasn't sure if the twins were those kind of children or not.

Anyhow, Clint explained to her, that they were tracking down "Ultron" and taking him down. He planned to exterminate the human race, so destroying him was the only option. It was a bit of a waste, but it was the only way they could make sure that everyone would actually be safe and not be hurt because of the thing Tony Stark and Bruce Banner created.

Mercedes was worried about them. She knew that whatever her father and Dr. Banner created would be dangerous. Her father was a genius, so he would do everything he could to make sure the thing he created was powerful. She also knew that Dr. Banner was very smart, and he'd definitely use his knowledge with her father's to make the thing they created smart and powerful.

Honestly, if she was there, she probably would've helped them. Not that what they did was right or anything, but she liked a challenge, and making Ultron was probably a challenge to the guys. She was glad she wasn't a part of it though, since she would've been grouped as a reason for Ultron being alive.

When Clint had explained that Ultron had wiped out their servers and such, meaning all of their internet files and things like that were gone, she wondered if she was safe. She knew for a fact, her father had at least a few files about her, just nothing recent. If it was recent, he'd know all about her kid and her newest pregnancy.

She wondered if Ultron would be looking for her to spite her father. She also wondered if Ultron would be going after Pepper. She hoped Pepper was somewhere safe, but she didn't really know. Pepper had called and told her that she and Tony weren't really on speaking terms, but she promised to keep in contact with Mercedes.

Mercedes hadn't talked to Pepper since, but she didn't blame the woman. Pepper most likely was busy, or didn't want any reminder of Tony, and Mercedes was a big one. Mercedes actually considered telling Pepper about Bean and the pregnancy, but she didn't want Pepper telling her father. She wanted to be the one to tell him.

After much thought though, Mercedes decided to tell Pepper a small bit. So, she grabbed her laptop and typed out an email for Pepper, one that was in code, one that only she and Pepper knew how to read. She had created it when she was thirteen and didn't want her dad knowing about her girl problems yet. She didn't know how accustomed he was to menstrual cycles and stuff, so she created a code that only she and Pepper understood.

In the email, she explained to Pepper about her job and about Clint. She also told her that she was engaged to Clint, and that there were other things that Pepper needed to find out in person. She knew that Pepper may never find out, because she may be ignoring her to forget about her father, but she didn't know and she hoped Pepper would at least read the email.

Anyhow, Mercedes had written the email to Pepper while Bean was taking his daily nap. By the time she finished, it was time for her to wake Bean up for a snack. She always gave him two snacks a day, since he was a growing boy, and he needed plenty of sustenance. Most of the time, the first snack was some type of fruit, and the second snack was something like crackers, cereal bars, or other things the boy liked to eat.

She wasn't forcing him to be healthy, but he seemed to really like healthy foods. He wasn't too big on many sweets, which didn't bother Mercedes. Sometimes he would get into a mood where all he wanted was sweets, but most of the time strawberries and such would make him happy.

Mercedes was proud of her little boy, and so was Clint. Clint had actually been surprised when he learned that Bean loved fruits and healthy snacks. The man figured this would keep his chocolate and such safe, but he was majorly wrong. Having a pregnant fiancé and a little boy that would eat what she eats never kept his food safe...
