Chapter Twenty Eight

Two months passed, but the day had come for Mercedes and Clint to get married. Everyone had been invited, and Mercedes tried to make sure that it was a convient time for everyone. In exactly one month, Bean would be turning three years old. Megan, more often called Pumpkin, was barely two months old, but she was a good baby.

Pepper and Tony had agreed to watching over Bean, Moxley, and Pumpkin while Clint and Mercedes spent a weekend together. The couple didn't beg for a weekend alone, but Pepper believed they deserved it, and Tony simply went along with the idea.

"Don't have too much fun. Pumpkin doesn't need another sibling, she's only two months old," Tony had commented,"Not to mention, I'm not old enough to have three grandchildren." He added, which had made Mercedes laugh.

Natasha and Pepper helped Mercedes get ready for her big day. Wanda watched over Pumpkin while sitting in the room with the other girls, and Tony kept Bean and Moxley with him. Somehow Tony had even gotten Bean into a little tuxedo, even though he wasn't a big fan of it.

Once Clint was ready, he and the other guys got into their places. Wanda was given the task of helping Pumpkin be a flower girl, and Bean was given the task of ring bearer, and Moxley was going to walk with him to keep him on task. Vision, the robot thing that was created while Ultron was causing problems, was going to officiate the wedding.

Natasha was given the position of maid of honor, and Steve was the best man. The moment Mercedes was ready, Tony walked her down the isle to Clint, even though he jokingly mentioned bringing her to a running car that would take her away from the wedding if she wanted to be away.

Mercedes and Clint listened to Vision as he said whatever an officiant was supposed to say. They repeated what they were supposed to, and kept smiles on their faces the entire time. Soon though, it was time for them to say their vows to each other. Clint was going first, then Mercedes.

"Mercedes, when I met you, I knew you were going to be my girl. I fell in love with you the day I met you, but I couldn't stop myself from thinking you deserved someone better than me. I couldn't hear well, I was older than you, and I wasn't this handsome guy that got all the girls. Somehow though, you seen past all of that, and you still accepted me for who I was. Each day, I fall more and more in love with you, and I am grateful that you have given me two beautiful children to love. I love you, Mercedes, and I can't wait to see what our future holds for us." Clint stated, and Mercedes felt tears swell in her eyes.

"Clint, I had a feeling you and I were meant to be together the day I met you, but I didn't want to fool myself. Natasha had mentioned you a few times, but she never told me that you were so sweet and handsome. She always claimed we were meant for each other, and I guess she was right. You've been by my side for everything, and you've given me the chance to have our two beautiful babies. I love you, Clint Barton, and I will love you until the day I die." Mercedes said, squeezing his hands in hers.

Moments later, the couple were able to give each other the rings, and kiss. The crowd around them cheered; the two were officially married. They would spend the rest of their life together as husband and wife, where they were always meant to be.

After the main part of the wedding, Natasha and Mercedes went back to her dressing room. Mercedes changed into a shorter white dress, to keep from messing up her beautiful wedding dress. Once she was changed, she and Natasha headed to the reception.

Mercedes sat down next to Clint, and food was passed out to everyone. As they ate, everyone began to make toasts to Clint and Mercedes. Some of them made her laugh, and others honestly made her blush.

"Mercedes, you're my beautiful daughter, and for years, I believed that not one man in this world would ever be good enough for you. I never thought a man would be able to come into your life and swoop you off your feet," Tony chuckled,"but meeting Clint Barton, I realized that maybe there is a man that's fit for you. I wasn't his biggest fan at first, but he grew on me. I know he'll care for you forever, and will be the perfect father to your children, as you are the perfect mother." He said, causing Mercedes to give him a smile.

After some time, the reception dinner ended, and they danced with each other. Clint and Mercedes were first, then Mercedes and Tony. Mercedes and Clint danced to a few songs, some with each other, and some with the others at the wedding. Honestly, the newly wed couple had a lot of fun with everyone.

Later that night, Clint and Mercedes went back to the farmhouse. Tony and Pepper took Bean, Pumpkin, and Moxley home with them. Bean was excited to spend time with his grandparents. Mercedes had told him that Pepper was his grandmother, since she was with Tony.

Tony and Pepper were happy having the two Barton children with them. Pepper hadn't taken care of a child in years, so doing so made her feel amazing. Tony hadn't taken care of a child in years either, but this time it was different, these were his grandchildren.

The couple had to get use to the lack of sleep, even though it was only two days. Tony didn't really seem as sleep deprived as Pepper, but they wouldn't change any of it for the world. They were spending time with their grandchildren, and they loved every minute of it...
