Only a few months later, Clint was called to go on a mission with the Avengers. He couldn't give Mercedes much information, but he told her what he could, and that's all that mattered. All she knew was that they were attacking some HYDRA base to get something, but she hadn't heard about what they were getting. Clint didn't want her knowing every detail, since he knew she would worry, and worrying wasn't good for the baby.

Mercedes kept herself as busy as possible while Clint was away with the Avengers. She just knew that every time he went on a mission with the Avengers, it had to be something dangerous. Anything could happen to him, and she would kill someone if something happened to Clint. It seemed extreme, but she loved the man with her whole heart.

Nearly dinner time, was the time Clint had called her. He had told her what had happened to him, and she had scolded him for it. She was angry that he had gotten hurt again while out with the Avengers. Nobody else seemed to get hurt, but he was always the one ending up with injuries.

"You can't seriously think they have your back, when you are the only one who was seriously injured." She stated, making him sigh.

"I'm sorry," He replied,"Look, you know who's on the team, so do you really not trust them to have my back?" He asked, causing her to roll her eyes.

"Do you want to make a pregnant woman angry, Clint?" She retorted,"I don't think so."

"Sorry, honey," He chuckled,"I've got to go, they're gonna start asking questions about where I've been, and who I've been talking to and--" She cut him off.

"Excuse me, but I don't think you have to answer any of them. They sure as hell don't answer you." The woman said, and he smiled to himself.

"You're right, I only answer to you, honey," He replied,"I gotta go, I love you." He rushed the last bit, before the line went dead.

Mercedes sighed, but she hung up her phone and set it on the counter. This pregnancy made her a bit more moody, but she had to pretend to be calm and collected like she normally tried to be. She never became angry with Bean or Moxley, but she did become angry with Fury and the Avengers.

She didn't necessarily hate the Avengers, but she sort of blamed them for Clint's injuries. He was on a team, yet none of them were hurt, only him. She was also angry with Fury, since the man knew that Mercedes was pregnant, yet he still called Clint out on a mission. She had a feeling the last time Clint was able to stay home was because Fury felt bad, but he had nothing to feel bad for this time, so he didn't have a reason to let Clint stay home.

Anyhow, Mercedes finished making dinner for herself and Bean. She made macaroni and cheese with hotdogs cut up and mixed into it. Bean loved it, and Mercedes didn't mind eating it. It was just like eating cheese on a hotdog, or eating macaroni and cheese on the side with a hotdog, just without the bun.

"Soda?" Bean asked, pointing to the green cans that sat beside the sink.

"Only a little, I don't need you up all late because you decided to have too much sugar, Beanie." She replied, ruffling his hair.

Bean laughed, and watched as his mother opened a can of soda. She poured about half a sippy cup full, before she popped the lid on top of the cup and handed it to him. Bean, like Clint, loved Mtn Dew, so Mercedes bought some every time she went to the store, even if she was only going to the store for bread or eggs.

Like her last pregnancy, Mercedes absolutely despised eggs. She hated them even when she wasn't pregnant, but while she was pregnant, she hated them more than she ever thought she could. Bean seemed to hold the same hate as she did. When Clint made scrambled eggs for breakfast one morning for him and Bean, Bean took one bite, spit it out, and gagged until Clint gave him some milk to wash away the taste.

Clint claimed Bean was just as dramatic as Mercedes and Tony. He had never met someone so dramatic in his life, but when he met the Starks, he finally learned just how dramatic people could be. He loved Mercedes and her dramatic ways anyway, even if she could easily get on other people's nerves.

"Do I has snack?" Bean asked, causing Mercedes to laugh.

"It's 'do I have a snack,'" She corrected,"and I think tonight's snack will be a mini chocolate bar. I have some of your Daddy's chocolate bars that he's been trying to hide from us." She replied, making Bean giggle evilly.

"Two, p'ease?" Bean asked, causing Mercedes to smile.

Bean was a polite little boy, even when he wasn't happy. He was in his terrible twos, but he was still very polite most of the time. He always said please and thank you. It was something that Mercedes and Clint taught him since he was a baby, well, that and sign language. They figured if he knew sign language they'd be able to communicate with him silently if there was ever any danger, or if Clint wasn't wearing his hearing aid.

"Yes, you can have two, but we keep this a secret." She replied, giving him a playful smile.

She never actually kept it a secret from Clint, but she was knew Bean loved playing secret games. He believed he was the best secret keeper in the world, though normally he would accidently tell his dad the secret when he was telling him something. It almost always happened, and it was so cute when he'd catch himself. He slap his hands over his mouth, giggle, and run away from the area while laughing...
