The days dawdled on and soon the early weeks of September blended into October.

September was a drag. Shortly after the two initial weeks of the starting month, our classes were a bore. The only entertaining one was DADA, and, maybe potions if you considered Draco acting out every two minutes interesting.

Quinn and Draco remained the same—they'd fight like rabid animals at any chance they got while Blaise and I observed them from afar so that we wouldn't get involved in their crossfire.

Daph and I got very close, we were practically inseparable now. We were now good friends as we had similar classes and backgrounds. Soon, she had abandoned her group of sly Slytherins schoolgirls and was hanging out with Quinn, Blaise and I.

During this period, I even got acquainted with Daph's sister, Astoria, who took a quick liking to me but would only ever inquire me about Draco—it never failed to make me laugh, her and her unusual crush on the blonde.

Speaking of Draco, we had gotten a lot closer as well and he seemed... nicer? I couldn't put my finger on it but he seemed different but different in a good way. He seemed calmer and much more joyous whenever he was in my presence and he seemed to bothering Potter less. He seemed kinder and I was here for it. He didn't even insult me for a solid 3 days since he apologised! 3 days—it's a whole new record; I'm proud of him, to be honest.

Though, my new friendships weren't enough to save me from the tedious classes that practically bored me to death. I never liked Hagrid's nor Mcgonagall's class—they were simply too theoretical for my own good.

I preferred hands-on learning which is what I experienced with Flitwick and Lupin and was probably the reason as to why they were my favourite teachers.

I would've put Snape as a favourite as well since he seems to have a biased liking for me but sometimes... he's not it. I don't have any personal grudge against him, I just don't like the way he treats Quinn sometimes.

On that note, Quinn had achieved his dream of becoming a beater for the Slytherin quidditch team and was practicing harder than ever for the upcoming games we'd be having against other houses. Though, our matches were probably going to be delayed due to Draco's injury—I couldn't care less but I did feel bad for Quinn who was over-exerting himself, I didn't want his efforts to be in vain.

Lastly, the only thing keeping me mildly sane and not collapse from pressure due to my studies was the Hogsmeade trip we're all anticipating in late October. Since we're third years, it'll be our first time there. I can not wait to get my hands on some Honeydukes products. If anything, I'll probably spend all my time there and I know Quinn'll be there for me as he has no idea what Hogsmeade has to offer.

Mother had already signed me and Tim's letter when we received our letters at the start of the year. I'm honestly surprised mother let us go since she's super cautious over Sirius Black. Nonetheless, I'm eternally grateful for this.

'As you all are aware, the Hogsmeade trip will be happening in the last week of October,' said Snape during one of our classes, 'I would prefer if you all would hand me your permission slip. Only to me, not a prefect, not a head but me. I will not allow anyone to leave if they haven't given me their slip or have lost it.'

Quinn, Draco, Daph, Blaise and I had immediately given Snape after the class had handed. He carefully inspected all of our slips, suspecting some sort of forgery but allowed us to go once he realised there were none.

Hogsmeade was unlike anything I'd ever seen. I had no words to describe how gorgeous it truly was! It was an entire village in which wizards lived--not a single muggle in sight so magic was free to roam, enhancing the village's beauty. I was in awe.
There were so many shops, so many places to visit and to explore but I had my sights set on Honeydukes, first and foremost.
