After our final exams, there was nothing else to do at Hogwarts. Our days would blend into one as our time was spent making a few more lasting memories before we have to say goodbye for two months straight.

During this period, Timmy and I searched the castle up and down for any information about our dear mother but failed to do so as there wasn't any information about her anywhere--not even in school records which made us even more suspicious and curious as to who she could possibly be.

Ultimately, I had had enough about these dead ends and decided to ask other people myself even though Timmy strictly told me not to.

'What do you guys know about the Wright family?' I bring up during one of our evening dinners.
'The what?' says Blaise.
'Which family? I think I might've read about them in our family tapestry,' Daph says.
'The Wright family,' I repeat.

'Huh... I've never heard of them...' Daph said and once I heard her words, I slumped down onto my chair.
'--Wait, I'll look more into the family tapestry during our holidays and owl you any information,' she suggests.
'As will I,' Blaise adds.

'Aren't you a Wright? Or at least, your mother was?' Draco asks.
I nod, 'yeah, as far I'm concerned, me and Timmy are probably the last Wrights. Mother said the entirety of her family was wiped out during the first war.'

'...And you want to find out more about your family?' Blaise asks.
'Yeah, I'm curious,' I say.

'Nothing in the tapestries of the sacred 28?' Timmy says, 'that's odd.'
'Tell me about it, not a single information about the Wrights,' I reply.
'I mean, our maternal side is practically wiped out so...'
'There might be some records, though!'
'Do you think we should ask mother about it?' Timmy suggests which makes me halt all of my movements.
'Of course not! Are you insane? She'll scold us like last time,' I assert, not daring to think about the last time we asked her about her family.

After this conversation, neither of us tried to research more as we hoped that my Slytherin friends would provide us some information about the secret history of the Wrights. We had even decided to search our own manor for some information but after this, the topic of the family history was dropped as we both ended up being too occupied with the end of the school year.

And after the entire fiasco and rumours we heard regarding Sirius Black, the thought of our mother left our brains completely. The information we managed to squeeze out of the rumours was that Potter had somehow managed to help Black escape the school grounds (and that Snape had a mental breakdown in the hospital room in which Potter resided.)

Also, during breakfast on one fine morning, Snape "accidentally" informed us all Slytherins that Lupin was a werewolf which made our entire table go insane and then everyone hoarded the two men with questions.
I'm not sure but I believe this also indirectly lead to Lupin resigning.

As I entered Professor Lupin's office, a sense of unease washed over me, for I knew that something was amiss. His usually warm and kind demeanor was tinged with a hint of sadness.

'Ah, Yn,' he said softly, motioning for me to take a seat, 'what brings you here?'

I settled into the chair, my heart heavy with the realisation that our time together at Hogwarts was coming to an end. 'Professor Lupin, why are you resigning?' I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

He sighed, a flicker of pain crossing his features. 'It's a difficult decision, but I believe it's for the best. My condition, my being a werewolf, makes it challenging for me to continue teaching here. I believe your Professor Snape's the reason and also because I would not dare want to hurt any of you.'

I nodded, though a part of me wished there was something I could say or do to change his mind. Professor Lupin had been a remarkable teacher, and his lessons had inspired us in ways beyond the classroom.

'I will miss your classes,' I admitted, trying to put my feelings into words, 'you've taught us so much,'

A soft smile graced his lips, and he looked at me with genuine warmth. 'Thank you, YN. Your kind words mean a great deal to me. Teaching at Hogwarts has been one of the greatest joys of my life, but I must also consider the safety and well-being of the students.'
As he spoke, I could see the weight of his decision burdening him. It was clear that stepping away from Hogwarts was not an easy choice for him, but he was putting others before himself, as he always did. I wish there was something I could do to at least, cheer him up.

'I understand,' I said softly, trying to offer some comfort, 'you've been an incredible teacher and mentor to all of us.'

He reached across the desk, placing a hand on mine, the touch reassuring, 'you and your classmates have made this year truly special for me. I will cherish the memories we've shared.'

Tears welled up in my eyes, and I blinked them back, not wanting to break down in front of him. 'Thank you for everything, Professor Lupin. You've made a lasting impact on all of us, and we'll never forget you.'

His eyes held a mixture of gratitude and sorrow, and he squeezed my hand gently. 'And I will never forget any of you.'

As I stood to leave his office, I knew that this farewell would be difficult, but I also knew that Professor Lupin would carry a piece of Hogwarts with him, just as we would carry a piece of him in our hearts. His lessons of compassion, bravery, and acceptance would stay with us, guiding us in the challenges that lay ahead.

In the days that followed, as the news of his resignation spread through the school, the halls seemed to echo with a bittersweet sense of loss.

'I can't believe it,' Quinn began, 'we're done with our third year...'
'It's so unbelievable, I mean it felt like just yesterday we were getting sorted into our houses,' Daph replies.
'You both are acting like we're graduating,' I interrupt, 'now come on! We'll be late for the train!'

Usually, I sat with only Draco, Quinn and Blaise but for the first time in three years, we had a new member: Daphne Greengrass. I never expected to make more friends this year but I'm really glad I did because Daph has been able to help me with so much this year.

Our time in the train was bittersweet, we all thought about our memories that we shared in this year and commented on all of them, it was shared with both laughter and complains. I truly loved them all.

And, as me and Timmy left the platform to find our mother, I looked one last time at Draco and felt an unusual feeling spawn inside my abdomen, It was odd but I embraced it, nonetheless.

I looked at him one last time, his grey eyes anxiously looking for his parents and his platinum blonde hair was now gelled back--he looked so attractive.

'Oh there you two are! You both have made me incredibly late. The Minister will have my head for this--' our mother complained immediately after spotting us two. 'Now get in the car! WHat are you both waiting for?!'

With a sigh, we both went inside our car as the driver tossed our luggage into the trunk. Then slowly, me and Timmy left the platform, finally ending this chapter of our lives.
