Josephine sits mesmerized as Professor Alora Ravens wraps up her last class of the day. The lunchtime breeze sweeps through the classroom, adding a sense of tranquility to the moment. Alora reaches to secure her hair in a ponytail, but her hair tie snaps, causing her curly red locks to cascade around her shoulders. The other students bid their farewells, and as Alora approaches, Josie offers a replacement hair tie to her professor with a warm smile.
"Thank you, dear," Alora replies gratefully before settling at her desk. Curious to catch up with her professor, Josephine decided to skip lunch and engage in conversation.
"How have you been?" she inquires as she observes Alora idly arranging her desk.
"I've been great! Karina sent me a new deck of oracle cards," Alora beams. Karina, Alora's wife, has been a part of their lives for some time, and Josephine thinks they make an adorable couple.
"Oh, they're beautiful," Josephine admires the artwork as Alora retrieves the cards from her desk. "How is Karina?"
Alora's excitement wanes slightly as she confesses, "She's doing well, but I can't help but worry about her. With the looming threat of the dark lord, being a muggle makes her vulnerable."
Josephine admires Alora's honesty and appreciates her ability to acknowledge the real dangers. She continues, "Anyway, that aside, why are you here, darling?"
Josephine fidgets with her nails and explains, "I have to talk to my head of house today about future careers, and I'm not entirely sure what I want to pursue. I was hoping you could offer some advice."
Alora looks thoughtful, tapping her fingers on the desk before responding, "Josephine you're a smart girl. Very smart and very mature. You could do many things for your career" She tilted her head "If you came here for advice from the future"
Suddenly, Alora's expression changes, and she seems to enter a trance-like state. Her mouth moves yet no words come out which both fascinates and frightens Josephine. She watches as Alora regains her composure and mutters, "Oh dear," while massaging her temples.
"Are you alright?" Josephine asks, concerned for her professor.
The professor waves her off, then takes a deep breath and locks her gaze onto Josie. "You have a natural inclination to stand up for those who can't do it themselves. It might be wise to consider certain jobs in the Ministry, but remember, that won't be the end of your journey," she advises, her words filled with conviction.
Josie's eyebrows furrow as she prepares to respond, but Alora continues, her tone suddenly mysterious, "Your future... it's different from what you may think." Leaning in, she holds Josie's hand gently and warns, "Be cautious of those you feel uneasy about. Trust your instincts."
As if checking for eavesdroppers, Alora's gaze darts around the room before continuing, "Know that you'll always have a place with me and Karina if you ever need it, dear."
Perplexed by the unexpected offer, Josie clears her throat and replies, "Thank you, Professor."
Just as she rises to leave, Alora hands her a piece of paper. "This is mine and Karina's address. Keep it with you and come if you need anything," she implores, her eyes holding an intense sincerity.
"Thank you," Josie says once more, puzzled by the professor's enigmatic expression. Leaving the classroom, she can't shake off the sense of unease from the strange encounter. Her future, apparently, won't unfold as she has envisioned. Alora's cautionary words about trusting her instincts leave her pondering.
Considering recent events surrounding Dumbledore and the growing doubts about him, it makes sense to be cautious. But then, who among the adults in power can she trust if not Dumbledore? The uncertainty weighs heavily on her mind, casting a shadow on the path that lies ahead.

Josephine strolls purposefully along the corridors, heading towards Professor Flitwick's office. She has been excused from her last class of the day for this important meeting. As she reaches the seventh floor, she lightly taps on the door, the sound echoing through the hall.
The door creaks open, revealing a warm and inviting atmosphere inside. Professor Flitwick's office, though not large, is efficiently organized. Bookshelves line the walls, filled with numerous volumes on charms, displaying his passion for the subject. In one corner, his desk stands, adorned with scattered parchments and quills. The room also boasts various enchantments, causing objects to dance and add a lively touch to the surroundings.
"Ah! Miss Potter! Please, have a seat," the professor warmly welcomes her, gesturing to the chair in front of his desk. She gives him a slight smile and maneuvers around the cheerful piles of paper and objects that adorn his workspace before taking a seat.
"Sorry for the mess," he chuckles, moving some papers to the side. "With O.W.L.S being this year, I've been preparing each student for them, hence the extra mess everywhere."
"No worries, Sir," Josephine assures him, feeling slightly more at ease.
"Now, let's get down to business," Professor Flitwick says, bringing his hands together on the desk. "The purpose of this meeting is to help you decide on your electives, which will hopefully align with your future career goals."
Josie nods, her nerves settling. "I've thought about it, and I'm quite certain I want to pursue a career in the Ministry, particularly something related to the Department of Magical Law. Interestingly, the required electives for that path are already part of my current class schedule this year," she explains, revealing that she has already taken the initiative to check out the necessary classes at the library after her talk with Professor Ravens.
Professor Flitwick's surprise is evident as he observes Josephine. "That's very impressive, Miss Potter. Your dedication and diligence in class have always been exemplary. I have every confidence that you will excel in your O.W.L exams," he commends with a warm smile.
"Thank you, sir," Josephine replies, feeling a sense of pride at his praise.
The professor quickly jots something down on a piece of paper before continuing, "Since you have your post-Hogwarts plans well thought out, I'll mark you off the list of undecided students." He playfully nudges a dancing book back into place, adding, "Of course, if you ever wish to reconsider your decision or seek any advice, my door is always open for you."
"Thank you, Sir. Have a good evening," Josephine says politely, rising from her chair and making her way out of his office.
She lets out a contented breath as she strolls toward the dining hall, where dinner is soon to be served.
