"Quit giving me that look," she admonishes Regulus. It is an early morning at the Slytherin table because the Quidditch game is on the schedule for the day, and Pandora, Dorcas, and Josie have opted to sit there.
"Why? Does me staring make you nervous?" Regulus appears to be in a playful mood.
She swallows nervously as he leans in closer.
"Cut it out," she mumbles, lifting a glass of water to her lips. The butterflies in her stomach show no signs of calming down.
Regulus's eyes linger on her lips even after she sets the glass down.
"Enough with the flirting," Josie interjects.
"Tu es très belle, mon amour" (You are very beautiful, my love), he whispers, his voice barely audible. It feels as if they are the only two people in the room.
She almost wants to burst into giggles.
Instead, she shoots him a glare.
"You're quite pretty when you're annoyed," he teases, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Oh, please," she rolls her eyes, though inside, she feels like an elated child who has just received her favorite toy.
Josephine occupies herself by fidgeting with her rings, trying to resist the urge to pick at her nails.
"Are you looking forward to the game?" she inquires of Regulus.
He nods. "We've been practicing for weeks; we better win."
Josie laughs at his comment. The chatter of the other students slowly grows louder as breakfast nears its end.
After a few moments, the entire Quidditch team rises from their seats and starts making their way out.
"I love how you look in that Slytherin scarf," Regulus whispers in her ear before standing. "I'll see you later."
"Good luck."

The slightly damp grass crunches beneath her feet as she makes her way to the Quidditch pitch.
"I just got these!" Pandora frowns down at her boots, grass and mud clinging to them.
"I'll clean them for you later," Josephine offers.
Pandora looks like she wants to argue with that statement.
"I enjoy cleaning," Josie admits. Truth be told, some types of cleaning are quite enjoyable for her. She relishes cleaning things and then rearranging them.
Pandora responds with a soft smile, and they continue their walk.
Dorcas is with the entire Gryffindor group, who are a good distance behind them.
Pandora and Josie climb up to the Ravenclaw stands and take their seats, surrounded by chattering students.
Suddenly, a blonde-haired boy sits down beside Pandora.
