Hello, lovelies! Welcome to ISN'T SHE LOVELY.
This story follows the journey of new friends Mickayla and Harry as they navigate a surrogate pregnancy together. It's a very soft story with a few sad moments, but a happy ending is to be had!
ISN'T SHE LOVELY is a 30-chapter long story that spans across a time period of more or less a year. Each chapter will be dated, and the reason for this is because there are mini time jumps between each one.
For example: chapter 2 happens 2 weeks after chapter 1, and the whole story follows this kind of pattern. I thought that dating chapters might help people follow along with it. I hope this makes sense and that you'll enjoy it. Lots will be packed into chapters, and it's kind of a fast slow burn. You'll see what I mean when you read!
Most chapters will have a little hint to IRL Harry, too. Keep in mind, this isn't a famousrry fic, but I like to allude to real life Harry moments. He's a wonderful muse <3

This story will be told in first person and from both Mickayla and Harry's perspectives aka Harry's POV one chapter, Mickayla's POV in the next, and repeat until the story is done!

As you've probably figured out, this story heavily follows a pregnancy plot. If that isn't for you, then neither is this story. Not every single thing written is about Mickayla being pregnant, but it's the point of the whole book.
Furthermore, Mickayla agreeing to be Harry's surrogate is 100% her choice. She isn't coerced or pushed into doing anything she doesn't want to do throughout this story. They're a team in this, and support one another throughout all their endeavours: pregnancy and otherwise.
I'd also like to add that I've done a great deal of research around the topic of surrogacy and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI); the chosen procedure that will be mentioned in this story. Some medical mistakes might exist here and there, but I'm trying my best to make it as perfect as possible.
As someone who has fertility issues and could potentially have to use these avenues in the future, it's been very insightful to learn all about it. No one in this story is struggling with these issues themselves, but the process they follow is one that many out there experiencing them do take. I also understand that it isn't just heterosexual people who struggle to conceive that use these options to have children. There are many different reasons why people go these routes for a child, and all are completely valid. I don't treat the subject lightly, and I'm sending all the love and luck to those going through it.
