[Y/n's PoV]

Weeks go by and I continued hunting down rifthounds on Tsurumi Island, completely ignoring Aether's words about the Shogun.

I found them amusing, the only entertainment I found in life while being driven away from the thoughts of my demised sister.

After killing another rifthound, I scoffed, amused yet annoyed at Aether's attempt to reach out to me. It was clear that I had zero intention of "giving it all up" simply because someone said they understood me.

It seemed pointless to me that they would try and appeal to my sense of reason. They had no idea of my pain and suffering, and what drove me to do what I did.

"I hate her."

*Slash.*

"I despise her."

*Swing.*

"I loathe her."

*Slash.*

"And I want to execute her!"

I then used my electro energy to finish off the large rifthound with hatred and contempt. I could hear my heart pounding in my chest, fueled by the same emotions as I took out the last one.

It was almost as if I was trying to unleash my frustrations and anger on the rifthounds, and the satisfaction I felt each time I took down a large one was undeniable.

I wanted to keep doing this to get the revenge I felt I deserved— for all the injustice and heartache she had put me through.

I was about to walk away, but my attention was caught by a sudden projectile that almost hit me. I quickly blocked it with my polearm and turned to see that I had been attacked, and who did I saw is the same person I was loathing. Raiden Ei.

Speak of the devil...

Both of us locked eyes and stood there staring at each other while she was maintaining her position on top of a huge rock.

"It seems to me that you still hold the title of 'keenest of sight'." She mocks.

I just clenched my jaw.

"What are you doing here? Are you here for your death wish?"

"I am here to investigate something important, and I don't want you to meddle in this one."

I felt my fists suddenly clench, ready to release my electro energy at any moment.

"Meddle? This is my island."

"Yet your island still belongs to the nation of Inazuma which is still under my rule." She replied, her voice sounding smug and confident as it filled me with more and more anger but I was not about to back down from this challenge, and I am ready to defend my territory even if I haven't regain my full strength back.

"No, you abandoned this island, so this is still my decision whether or not you should be here and my answer is you're not welcome." I exclaimed.
