*Ethans POV*

Let me tell you the truth.

This cut was so deep that I literally slept all day yesterday, and it's just now starting to close.

If I didn't have a chemistry test today, I wouldn't have even come to school.

But right now, I am at Kai's locker with him, Tony, and Onix because Kai is currently freaking out.

"Guys, he's literally right there." He took a deep breath. "How's my hair?"

You see, Kai's issue is that he's a ladies man. He can charm the panties off of any girl if he really wanted to.

But when it comes to dudes, he's a basket case, and he currently has his eyes set on Cobi.

"Dude, he's just a guy." I shook my head. "And you are a dime. If he doesn't like you for just being you, he ain't the one."

He sighed and gave me a small smile. "And I appreciate you. But I still wanna look hot."

"You look good Kai." Tony nodded. "But, I have to go find Carly. What're we doing for lunch?"

"Taco's." We all nodded.

"Perfect." He dapped us all up and walked down the hall.

"Let's get you a man, my guy." Onix pat Kai's back.

"Maybe we should wait for Frazier and Harlow to leave." Kai nodded.

"And they're just girls." I shook my head. "Come on." I grabbed him and pulled.

"Wait, hold up." Onix stepped in front of him and started walking backward. "Unbutton some of these." He started unbuttoning the top of his shirt.

"And you have good forearms." I grabbed his sleeves and started rolling them up.

"Better?" He looked at both of us.

"You finer than a mother fucker." I nodded.

"I'd hit." Onix nodded.

"You would?" He raised his eyebrows.

"Yeah." He smiled. "But what I meant was, I'm actually going to hit you so you'll just talk to him."

"Wait, what?"

And out of nowhere, Onix pushed Kai right into Cobi.

"Jesus." Cobi stood up straight and turned around.

"Oh my god." Kai shook his head. "I'm so sorry." He turned and glared at Onix.

Onix just smirked and shrugged.

"It's OK, I guess." Cobi gave him a look.

And, in 3, 2, 1.

Kai let out a small smile and his nervous laugh.

"Can I uh, help you with something?" Cobi shook his head.

"Uh." Kai looked up at me.

I sighed. "This is-"

"Kai Collins. You're Ethan Pike, and that is Onix Opal." Harlow nodded.

"And you're Harlow Carr, this is Cobi Frontino, and you, little Miss Carr, we know all about you." Onix put his arm over her shoulder.

"Can I help you?" She looked up at him.

"Well, we heard your 17th is Wednesday, so I figured we could just get the inevitable out of the way." He shrugged.

"Here we go." I shook my head.

"Huh?" She raised her eyebrows.

"You know, the awkward tension you get when you find your mate. Tony told us all about it. So I figured we'd just get it out of the way, consummate our future together, and live happily ever after."
