*Harlow's POV*

To be, or not to be.

That is the question.

But this isn't Shakespeare.

This is to be or not to be concerned driving through the middle of the woods with Aine right now to meet her parents and whisk her away on a weekend of inebriated teenagers and debauchery.

Onix brought it to my attention last night that she does in fact smoke, good on her, she's going to need it dealing with these boys.

But my mission, convince her mom and Dad that she is in fact safe with me because she 100% is. Not shit will be happening to sweet little Tinkerbelle if I have anything to say about it.

"Aine, where do you live anyway?" I looked over at her from her passenger's seat.

"I live where I came from." She smiled. "The beauty of the trees is home to me my dear Harlow." She nodded and pulled down a back road.

But what I was not expecting was pulling up to a fucking treehouse in the middle of the woods.

Not even ONE tree house. THREE!

A big one in the center, and two small ones on each side.

"Uh." I pursed my lips and raised my eyebrows.

"Small minds are unopened minds." She shook her head.

"Oh no. No no. Just, I wasn't expecting it. It's really cute." I let out a small laugh.

We got out of her car and headed up the small stairs to the big tree house.

"Aine?" A deep voice yelled through the house.

"Oh deep." I looked over at her.

"That's Papa." She nodded. "Coming Papa!" She smiled as she pulled me in to a kitchen.

"Oh, god damn!" I yelled as soon as I came face to belly with, I swear to God a giant.

This man, I swear he's 7ft tall.

Aine let out a small laugh.

My jaw dropped and I shook my head. "I'm so sorry."

And this very large man, he nodded. "You are good witch."

"Harlow, this is my Papa. Papa, this is Harlow." Aine smiled.

"Aindrias be nice." A small, tiny woman walked into the kitchen. "Hello, I'm Maeve." She smiled and held her hand out.

I knew what she was doing. Again, she's a fairy.

So, without hesitation, I grabbed her hand and smiled. "My name is Harlow."

I felt the shock. I felt that shit in my chest.

Her smile grew and she looked at the large man. "She may go Aindrias." She nodded.

"Maeve." He shook his head.

"I will keep Aine safe, by any means necessary sir." I nodded.

"How can I be sure?" He crossed his arms.

I pursed my lips and sighed. "If I give you my word, that I will not cause any harm, may I show you something?"

His eyes narrowed, and he held his hand out.

I took a deep breath, and clearly made our deal, before I held my hand up and his eyes went blank.

"Aindrias?" Maeve cleared her throat.

He pursed his lips. "I cannot see."

"One of the powers I have, is manipulation." I let my hand down and nodded. "I can manipulate people's bodies. That is how you can be sure I will not let anything happen to Aine."
