The Talking Of Dads.

*Ethan's POV*

Finally, Saturday.

You all know how excited I've been for today.

It's my first actual date with Frazier.

She's spending the night.

It's the first girl's soccer game of the year.

And I'm so beyond the point of excited to watch Rhi kick absolute ass.

But before we go, I decided I was going to go outside and shoot around for a little bit since basketball season is right around the corner.

I got out of bed, threw on shorts, and headed down to the driveway.

I shot for maybe an hour until my dad came walking out and leaned against his truck.

"Jump shot could use some work." He nodded.

"Oh, shut up." I rolled my eyes.

"Ball." He held his hands out.

I tossed him the ball, he shot, and smirked at me as it went in. "Don't forget who taught you yours kid." He smiled.

I let out a small laugh. "What's up dad?"

"Well, I know you're going to talk to Orian today, but I want to talk to you too. So, I figured we would talk before we head to the soccer game."

"OK." I nodded and walked to sit on the hood of my car.

He came and sat next to me. "Well, first things first, I'm leaving you in charge of the grounds."

"I already told her that unless something is going on on the grounds that it's just her and I. She understands."

"Obviously if something goes horribly wrong, call, I'll be here as soon as possible."

"Dad." I let out a small laugh. "I've got it. I've got your Beta's, mine, and Cyrus and I set up a howl. Plus, I know the howl to get the Vojaks here, and Frazier is going to be with me. Everything is going to be fine."

"Alright." He nodded. "Now to Frazier."

"What about her?" I gave him a look.

"OK. I'm just going to come right out and say it, I am too young to be a grandfather."

"OH!" I yelled. "Oh, dad no! We're not having sex."
"Really?" He raised his eyebrows. "So, she's not playing today."

I sighed. "OK, we did have sex. The one time. But that was our wolfs. Not us. She doesn't want to have sex yet, which I'm fine with, I get it. So, for now we're just going to go on dates and." I paused. "Play baseball." I nodded.

"Well, when you get to home, make sure make sure you're safe. Please?"

"Yes, dad. Dear god." I shook my head.

"Ethan, I know you." He shook his head. "Before we got you that jeep, I used to find boxes and condom wrappers in my truck, which is part of the reason we got you the jeep in the first place."

"Oh my god." I groaned.

"I mean. We take comfort in knowing you use them. But just because you have your mate doesn't mean you stop, I know she's-"

"Dad!" I yelled and clapped my hands together. "Please for the love of god spare me the safe sex conversation. We are in high school. I am a senior. She is a junior. She doesn't want kids in the future let alone now. Now if I promise that I will keep using condoms can we please go get ready to leave."

"Perfect." He jumped down and clapped his hands together.

I slid off just as a car was pulling in to the drive way and Rhiannon was running out the door.
