Dinner was... interesting to say the least. Percy didn't say anything to the others of course, but he couldn't help but look at Jason and Hadrian throughout it. Annabeth literally had to wave her hand in front of his face to get him to pass the guacamole.

She had known him so long, she could tell something was on his mind, but Percy waved her concern aside. It wasn't his secret to tell.

Hadrian seemed the most changed for some reason. He glared every time Percy looked at him. Oh come on, he had thought they were out of the glaring phase.

Jason seemed a little pink, but otherwise normal. They chatted about the shrimpzilla, Esther's peach preserves and even Octavian for some reason. But Percy couldn't focus on the food.

He wasn't sure why.

If Jason and Hadrian were together, that shouldn't matter. Good for them. Percy would give anyone a stern talking to if they had a problem with it.

He remembered the exact moment he had walked in, and his words had died in his throat. Hadrian was on the counter, Jason pushed against him and wow.... They were really getting into it.

Jason kissed him like he needed it to breathe and Hadrian kissed like a burden had been lifted from his back. They looked happy. Ergo, Percy should be happy. He played with his food, barely touching it.

Hadrian's hair was back to brown. Percy wanted to suggest a new color or style or something. He looked too depressed with brown hair.

After dinner, Percy walked into his room, only to realize his bed was bare. His blanket, the comforter, the bedsheet, everything had been ripped off. He vaguely remembered throwing up. He grimaced. Right.

His first thought was Annabeth. They had shared a bed a few times on quests. But then he remembered Coach Hedge.

So he opted for the only other person he could think of.

"It's late" Was all Hadrian said. He was shirtless, Percy realized "What are you here for?"

His expression looked guarded, like he would snap again at any moment. He should have been in a better mood after the kiss. Was something wrong?

"Jackson, are you going to keep standing there like an idiot or are you going to talk? Any slurs or just... Anything you want to say, I assure you I've heard it all before. So please let me sleep"

"Do you really think I came here to be a homophobic bigot?"

Did he think so low of Percy? He had been nothing but supportive and friendly since day one. Hadrian was starting to piss him off.

"I've lost too many friends who claimed to be allies" He said simply. He looked tired. Even looking like he'd been hit by a train, there was no denying he was a child of Eros. His face was perfectly symmetrical, a classically european nose, though it was a little downturned at the end. Light freckles were dotted all over his face, he had a freckle at the base of his throat and one at the edge of his lips. Percy wondered if Jason had kissed it. Then he realized he didn't care.

"I don't have bedsheets" Percy said, "Can I sleep here? And I promise I'm not homophobic"

Hadrian looked like he was debating it.

"Or you could go sneak into Jason's cabin and I can sleep here" Percy offered.

Hadrian shut the door in his face.

"Oh come on" Percy whisper yelled. "I was kidding, please will you open the door?"

The door cracked open a little. Percy saw Hadrian roll his eyes.

"No"

"You already have"

"Go fuck yourself, sleep on a bare mattress for all I care"

"What happened to the whole I promise I won't let you drown?" Percy insisted, "I thought we were friends"

"We are" Hadrian confirmed, "You're just being a bit of a pain in the ass right now"

Percy almost called him Hads like everyone else. Then he remembered his story about Kira and wisely changed tracks. "Please Allaire?"

"Go sleep with your girlfriend"

"Annabeth is not my girlfriend"

"I never said Annabeth"

"There's only two girls on board and Hazel has a boyfriend"

"You're being annoying right now" Hadrian said.

"Come on, mon biche" Percy grinned in the dark, "Please?"

Hadrian stuck out a middle finger. "Biche is feminine"

"mon amour" Percy tried instead. "Ooh did you call Jason that? Is that why you're so grumpy? Because I interrupted you guys?"

"Oh my gods, Percy" Hadrian threw open the door, "Please just shut up and let me have my gay  crisis in peace"

"What?"

A soft sound came from somewhere, a door creaked. Percy was gripped with sudden panic. He had fought thousands of monsters and even demigods, but having to face Coach Hedge after lights out sounded like torture.

Just as Hedge came into view, Hadrian's eyes widened. Oh yes, getting caught would be really bad. Thankfully, Hedge hadn't noticed them yet.

Hadrian grabbed Percy's shirt and pulled him inside the room, shutting the door behind them. They waited, listening in the silence of the night as Hedge paced around and then seemed to eventually retire back to his cabin.

"Does he wear goat print pajamas?"
