Niall's POV

"Emily," I said as I walked into the room

She stood up and gave me a worried look. "You can't do this she's way too nice."

"But I have to." I said

"I know but god why'd you have to pick a good one?" she asked

I smiled but it faded. "I'm doing it tonight."

She began looking sad. "That's....alright Niall. I guess I'm here for you."

"I know and honesty I'm gonna need you more than ever right now." I said

She gave me a hug.

"Hey it's time to go!!!" shouted Louis

I gave her a look. She just nodded and gestured me out. We walked down the stairs and I saw Haley playing on her phone. Why did she have to be so perfect?

"Omg Emily, you look gorgeous." said Haley as she looked up

"Thank you." Emily said. This was killing her.

"I know we're gonna be close friends."said Haley

Emily looked like she was gonna cry. "Uh..huh. Yup...friends."

I nudged her. She quickly smiled and walked away.

"Alright you guys have fun." Haley said as they all left.

"Kay." with that the door slammed shut.

"So what does my lovely boyfriend want to do?" she asked. God her eyes. No, Niall you can do this.

"Let's take a walk." I said

"Alright?" she said

We started walking around in the park.

"So..." said Haley. She broke the awkward silence

"Um, Haley we need to talk." This is killing me. I feel like minds telling me to do this but my heart just doesn't want to.

"Ok..." she began looking worried

"I think we should, break-up." yeah, you hear that my heart just shattered

"What? Haha, very funny Niall." she said a little agitated

"I'm serious." I was gonna break down in tears.

"But, why?" she asked now crying

Why is this so hard?

"Because, you're not the girl for me. I'm sorry it took me so long to realize it." I said coldly

"I know you don't mean that." she said

I turned away. "I do. You should probably leave, before the others come back."

She spun me around. She had hatred in her eyes. "Fine. If that's what you want, I never want to see you again Niall Horan."

I was about to cry. She turned around and ran. I cried to myself. Why was this happening to me?
