Waking up the next morning, I feel liberated. I'm on cloud nine right now. I just got my kittie ate ferociously last night and now I'm smelling fresh bacon coming from downstairs. What? I know this man ain't cooking for little ole me. I shot out of bed, throwing on the same shirt I was given from Damian. Now into the hallway, trying to remember where the fuck the stairs are in this maze of a penthouse. Fuck it I'll just follow the smell.
Finally making my way downstairs, I pause in my tracks once I hear throwback r&b playing in the background. As I slowly enter the kitchen, I'm met with a strong muscular back side. A kitchen towel resting one of his shoulders. Leaning against the island, I admirably watch as Damian slays his way from the stove to the oven while rhythmically bobbing his head to the music. He throws Kane a piece of bacon as he catches with no crumbs dropped.
This feels different. After everything Damian's been through in the past, it's relieving seeing him in such a peaceful state. He deserves it. I just pray that God keeps his hands on him and continues to bless this amazing man.
"Well good morning. What you smiling for?" Damian asks with a grin on his face. I didn't even realize I was smiling until I felt my cheeks burning.
"Nothing. It's just... you look really happy."
"What can I say? I mean I got my girl back in my life and I just had one of my favorite meals last night."
I blush, looking away from his seductive grin. "Your girl. Huh?"
"Always have been. Come here."
As I approach my way around the counter, now in front of his tall stature, Damian plants a kiss to my lips. "You taste like cinnamon."
"You don't Ms. Morning Breath." He scrunched his face.
I quickly cover my mouth. "Boy fuck you. It's not my fault a certain someone didn't give me anything to clean myself up with."
"Nah. A certain someone actually did. I left all the necessities for you on the nightstand by your head. Lemme guess. You smelled food and without realizing, your greedy ass just raced down here." He raises his eyebrows.
"That's exactly what I did." I giggle while childishly turning my attention to the stove. Oh my God. This food looks good.
"I already know. Bacon, crispy but not too crispy cause you like a little fat on them. Scrambled cheese eggs with onions. Home fries and of course French toast with just the right amount of fluff. I know not to stuff your plate too much, cause you'll just give me what's left over. There's also cut up strawberries and pineapples in the fridge."
I freeze in place. I don't know whether to tear this food up or get on my knees and worship the fuck out this man. Even after all this time, he still remembers the little things about me. "I'm just lost for words right now."
He chuckles. "Well stop searching and eat."
"Yes, Daddy." I say seductively swaying my hips away from him until he lands a slap to my ass. After we finished eating our food together, Damian takes our plates over to the sink. "You need help with anything before I go?"
"Nah, baby. I'm good. You go get cleaned up and I'll be up there in a little."
I return a warm smile to him and head back to his bedroom and finally realized the bonnet and toiletries he had waiting for me on his bedside. I wrapped my hair up and took a quick shower. After freshening up, I go to check my phone and see that I have 4 missed FaceTime calls from Nia, 6 missed calls and texts from my sister, and about 10 missed from my Dad. Shit. They're most likely calling about what happened at the club.
