Chapter 3: Capitial Changes

PEETA POV:

I don't know how I feel about Katniss right now. I don't even know why I declared war on her. She doesn't deserve war after what she has been through. I'm am really mad, confused and angry because she doesn't remember me. But then if I imagine the situation in reverse I know she would stand by my side and be the friend I would need her to be till I remember.

That's what I'm gonna do. I'm not gonna give up on her till she remembers.

I snap out of my thoughts when I walk into something.
"Ouch!" I moan and I rub my nose.
"Disclaimer: there are many lampposts in the capital." Katniss mutters.
"Thanks you guys." I say. "I'm okay by the way!" I hear a reply from Finnick then carry on walking.

I'm currently walking. Behind Katniss who is dragging two suitcases along and finnicks in front of her doing the same.

After about five me minutes we start to walk down the lane where Finnick and our friends all live. We all bought houses on the same street so we can be near each other. I think Katniss is gonna be staying with Finnick for a while.

We walk to the bottom of the street and start walking up to finnicks house.

KATNISS POV:

We start walking up to a massive White House which must be 5 stories high that's has 2 balconies. And I think I can smell chlorine so maybe a pool too. I stop and look up to it in shock. Finnick lives here!!?

I hear the door open and I lower my gaze till I see the door. Finnick and Peeta are standing there laughing.
"Hey Mellark, you where behind me!" I say as I Pull the suitcases up the set of stairs. I lets go of the suitcases and leave them where they are and look around.

"Finnick your rich!" I exclaim. "...but...but how?"
"Well My parents own a hotel about 30 minutes away from here and it's the most popular hotel in the Capital. Sooooo.." He smiles as he walks out. I follow him out the door and down the path. We walk across the road to another huge house.
"Peeta here is a famous singer," Finnick explains as he pats his back. "Peeta lives in this house." He points to the house in front.
"Wow." I say and look at both the houses. "You guys really know how to live." I laugh.

"Um, Finnick how about you show Katniss your house and room and I will invite the group over." Mellark says.
"Yeah sounds cool." Finnick says and turns to me.
"I don't mind!" I shrug. Fink I puts his arm around me playfully and we walk back across the road.
"Still stubborn." I hear Peeta mutter.
"I heard that." I say still walking away.
"Well I said it out loud!" Peeta states.
I hear Finnick laugh. And then we walk up the steps and into his house.

FINNICK POV:

I show katniss the down stairs which is just game rooms and I showed her the pool. She was just amazed. Then I showed her upstairs where the kitchen, dining room and 2 master bedrooms are.
"Why do you have the kitchen on the second floor?" She asked.
"Because I can." I simply answer while getting a cookie from a jar in the kitchen. My whole house is open planned so I can still see her even thought she's on another room.
We go up another floor where my bedroom is alone with a movie room(cinema room)
"Why didn't you tell me you were rich?" She asks.
"You ask a lot of questions." I laugh.
"I know." She smiles.
"Well being rich is not usually something that comes up in a convocation to be honest." I answer.
"Okay...." She stops speaking when she sees another set of stairs. She looks at me then back at the stairs.
"Oh yeah up there is your bedroom and bathroom and wardrobe thing." I try to act like I've forgotten. Katniss glances at me and I indicate for her to go up stairs. She races up the stairs and I hear her trip over to top step and I burst out laughing.
"Hey it's not nice to laugh!" She shouts down the stairs. I go to the bottom step and look up and she is leaning over the banister.
"That hurt you know." She sticks her bottom lip out then walks away. I hear a scream then I guess she found her bedroom.
"FINNICK!" She yells. "This is to much! OMG! I'm gonna live here! This is my room! Omg!" She talks so fast I can't even understand. She keeps screaming and I'm going to die so I walk up strairs and shut her up by putting my hand over her mouth. She calms down.. Eventually.
"Thanks so much Finnick. I mean the bathroom is huge and my room is just wow! And the wardrobe...it's more like a another room." I keep nodding my head.
"I thought you would like it." I reply. She walks further into her room and I run down stairs and grab 2 cases and bring them upstairs. I then do it again and she takes all four cases into her room.
"I will leave you to unpack." I say and close her bedroom door. I hear her squeal before I go down stairs. I walk into the lounge and throw myself on the couch. I turn on the TV and change it to the news. There's something about a hurricane in district 1. I put the TV on mute when my phone rings and don't even bother looking at who it is before I answer.
"Hello." My mum says. Great. That's a couple of hours gone. My mum, I love her to pieces, but she really does like to talk. I get it she want to know how Katniss is. But right now it's sounding like my mother wants to know her breathing or heart pattern. Is everyone's parents like this? I glance at the TV and roll my eyes as she carries on talking and then Katniss appears at the door and starts laughing. I tell my mum she's here and I pass the phone to katniss.
"Have fun." I whisper.
"Don't be rude to your mum Finnick." She says.
"YEAH FINNICK!" I hear faintly through the phone.
"I heard that mum!" I reply. Katniss put the phone to her ear and walks off to another room.

I glance and the TV again and then take a double look. Peetas on the TV. Why is Peeta in the TV? Dum question hes a pop star I think sarcastically. I turn mute off and listen.
"It has been said that Mr Peeta Mellark has cancelled his tour and is going to focus on his studying." The news reporter shuffles her papers on the desk. "Many of his fans said the where 'devastated' but many of them agreed on his choice. Mr Mellark then went on to promise his fan he would be touring all around the country in the summer." Then a picture of Peeta outside his recording studio is shown on the screen at the back.

I chuckle as I get up to find Katniss but then I hear my name...

"Finnick Odair was then seen leaving the Music Festival After Party with his so called 'friend' Annie Cresta. And rumour has it they are more then just friends. The spotlight with be on them at the 'traditional Celebrity Awards' where many fans hope they will announce they're relationship."

Annie and I are not going out. I really wish we were but we're just best friends. Speaking of Annie, Katniss hasn't met her yet.

The doorbell goes and I see Katniss fly past the door way. I laugh as I get up and walk to the door, which Katniss has already answered.
