Chapter 4: Finnick's friends

KATNISS POV:

I answer the door and Peeta is there.
"Mellark." I say disappointed.
"Hello, may I'm come in?" He asks.
"No." I answer and shut the door but he stops it with his foot.
"Katniss." He whines.
"Peeta." I mock.
"Let me in." He says.
"Why should I?" I ask.
"One: because your killing my foot. Two: because I'm sorry for declaring war on you. You know if you think about it it's quite lame and pathetic to be honest." He laughs.
"Alright then." I laugh as well and open the door.

But then I hear a girl laugh behind him and I see a boy with brown hair walking behind her.
"Katniss," finnick says from behind me. "Meet Annie and Tyler."

"OMG is this the famous Katniss everdeen?" The girl squeals and runs up the stairs and hugs me. I have to grip onto the door frame so I don't fall over.
"I'm not famous." I say embarrassed.
"Course not your only 16 like the rest of us, but yay we have another girl in the group I thought I was the only one.."
"Oh no, I'm not in the group." I say.
"Wait why? Finnick!" She glares at him behind me and then Finnick walks forward and out the door so it's me and Annie in the door frame.
"Well mellark over here is mad or whatever that I have got brain damage after a traumatising car crash, he has now declared war." I laugh and glance at Peeta who was already staring at me.
"Hey, hold it." I think the boy called Tyler says. "Peeta, You told me that you love.."
"No I didn't you have me confused with someone else." Peeta says as he kicks him.

Hmmm.. what was that about?

"And I did just say I'm sorry about declaring war on you." Peeta days.
"Hmm." I turn my back to him.
"World war Four already." Tyler laughs.
"There hasn't been a world war three sooo.." I point out and turn around.
"Nerd alert." Finnick whispers behind my back.
"Hey I heard that." I snap.
"I know." Finnick laughs.
"So Katniss you gonna be going to the same school as us?" Annie asks.
"Yeah I think so." I reply.
"Think so?" Tyler questions.

"Yeah she's going to our amazing school," Finnick says sarcastically. "Which by the way is called Alford High."
"Wait Alford? Shouldn't it be something like Capital High? You know, something original?" I ask.

"To be honest no one knows." Annie laughs. "Welcome to the world of clueless teenagers." They all cheer and even I join in. I think I'm gonna like it here. And maybe just maybe I will fit in.

"So Katniss do you like Harry Potter?" Annie says very randomly.
"How random." Peeta mutters.
"What new." Finnick laughs.

"Harry who? Never heard of it." I shrug. She stares at me with her mouth open.
"Okay that's it." She grabs my wrist and drags me into the house and up the stairs.
"Talk about violents." I shout. I hear the boys laugh down stairs. "I'm calling my lawyer!"
"Yeh you do that." Annie says. She then leads me into a red and pink themed bedroom.
"Yes this is my room before you ask." She says while opening a draw. "And This isn't my house."

She fiddles through loads of DVDs until she finds massive box set of them.
"Found it!" She exclaims.
"Found what?" I question.
"The Harry Potter series." She says and takes me into the TV room where Finnick and Peeta are already.
"Why?" I ask.
"We are having a movie marathon!" She shouts. I hear Tyler cheer from the other room then he comes in with bowls of popcorn in either hand then a packet of crisps balanced on his head.
"You should be a waiter." I say.
"So I've been told." He responds and throws the crisps at me.
"Hey. Violence!" I point out.
"You will get a lot of the from them two." Finnick points to Tyler and Annie.
"I know there a complement in there somewhere." Annie laughs and she put the first DVD into the DVD player. She then comes and sits back down next go me on the sofa and then Tyler sits next to her.
"Finnick why do you have two sofas in here if we all only sit on one?" I ask.
"That sofas cursed." Peeta, who's sitting the other side of me, says seriously.
"What?" I say getting scarred.
"Yeah don't go near that sofa." Finnick says. "Peeta had a heart stack and so disk Annie when they say in that chair."

"What?" I'm getting a freaked out now. That's when they burst out laughing.
"You should of seen your face Katniss." Annie laughs.
"Priceless." Tyler says.
"Shut up I'm very gullible." I say and fold my arms.
"We know." Finnick laughs.
"Ok enough I want to watch this movie." I sigh.

"Oh by the way Annie, the public think we are going out and are gonna reveal it at the the traditional music party." Finnick blurts out.
I love the way any girl who knows who Finnick is would kill to be in the same room with him because from what I've heard he's famous. Really famous. And I also like the way he just casually says it, like its nothing special or new.
"What that's insane. We are not dating." She smirks.
"I know right. In mean, like it's not, like you know, like we would ever.." Finnick hesitates.
"Date." Annie finishes his sentence. Then and awkward silence fills the air. I lean forward and glance at Peeta.
He smirks at me and his eyes flicker between Finnick and Annie. I smirk back and then look at the TV screen.
Finnick likes Annie.

That's when the trailers start.
