"Oh Finney boy!"

"Yes my love?"

"Come here!" I say excitedly. He gets up from the chair he was sitting in and stands in front of me, holding my waist in place. I smile and he smiles back, he leans down and pecks my lips. I pull away and look up at him.
"Have you heard the song called 'hey lover' by the daughters of eve?!" I ask excitedly.

"No?"

"Really? It's quite an old song."

"When was it released?"

"My mami told me it was released in nineteen sixty five. She said it's her favorite song, she plays it all the time. And I dunno, it just reminds me of you."

"Oh, well it's not that old."

"Yeah, it's only a year older than us."

"Damn, I feel old now."

"Well, I could've been born in the two thousands but, I'm glad I wasn't cause I have you with me! Also I'm scared of going into the two thousands."

"Me too. I wonder what the new generation will be like."

"We'll just have to wait to find out. But anyways, I have a record of the song so let me put it in my record player!"

"Alright." Finney says as he smiles. He looks so excited to hear the song, he looks adorable. I snap out of my trance, and finally find the record. I pick up the tonearm and place the record on the turn table, I gently place the tonearm on top, the song sounds glitchy and scratchy at first but then it starts playing.

"Hey hey hey lover, you don't have to be a star. Hey hey hey lover, I love you just the way you are. For love is just the same, without fortune and fame, just give me true love and understanding. True love and understanding!" I sing the lyrics to finney. He chuckles before leaning down, he places a gentle and sweet kiss on my lips. I kissed back, and it was a great moment. Until...

"Hey mija I j-" me and finn pull away and look towards to see who's at the door.

"Sorry to interrupt your make out session but-"

"Sorry to cut you off mama, but we weren't making out."
I say as I turn the volume down.
"Yeah ok. Anyways, I'm off to work since I work afternoon and nights now."

"Alright. Is valerie gonna stay here, or is she gonna stay at tia's?"

"Here with you two. If that's ok, cause if you guys want alone time I can call tia."

"No it's ok, are you ok with it finn?" I ask looking up at him. He looks down at me and smiles.

"Yeah I'll stay and help out, also...can I sleep over?" He said in a quiet voice at the end of his sentence.

"Yes of course mijo, it's perfectly fine. We love having you around, mi niño." She says in a friendly voice.

"Really? Cause I can go home, my dad's not gonna be home but I don't wanna intrude so I can stay home if you'd like?" Finney explains.

"No finney you aren't intruding." I tell him.

"Of course you can stay here. You can come to us whenever and it doesn't matter how long. Just no funny business between you two." She says as she squints her eyes and points her finger at us.

"Thank you so much ms. L/n. And no funny business will happen."

"Alright, I was just kidding about that anyway. Just use protection and-"

"Ma! Enough, please get out." I say sighing and looking at the floor. Trying to hide the fact that I'm blushing.

"Ok mija. Byeee!"

I sigh before turning to finn.

"I'm sorry about her-"

"At least we have permission."

"For wh-finney!"

"I'm sorry." He chuckles.
