𝑊𝐼𝑇𝐻 𝑆𝑈𝐶𝐻 𝐴 𝑇𝑂𝑅𝑇𝑈𝑅𝐸𝐷 past, Jacqueline has always blocked people out in fear that they'd judge her for her appearance. Her fear has been validated by the constant looks she gets at school and the judgmental whispers she hears around Hawkins. Everyone knew of the Rayne family's deepest nightmare, and all anyone did was judge them for it.
People tend to stay away from her so that they can keep up appearances, and her neighbor is no different in that sense. However, Steve has always found her intriguing despite her past. He'd very gladly have a conversation with her, he'd love to listen to her angelic voice, he'd want nothing more than to get to stare into her beautiful brown eyes, as long as no one knows about it.
