𝐽𝐴𝐶𝑄𝑈𝐸𝐿𝐼𝑁𝐸, 𝑆𝑇𝐸𝑉𝐸, 𝐴𝑁𝐷 𝑊𝐸𝑆𝐿𝐸𝑌 were finally able to see what Dustin's grand plan to get rid of Dart was once they reached the scrapyard. There was metal everywhere, old cars, a broken down school bus. The whole thing was private and had huge potential to trap the creature.
"Yeah, this will do just fine. Good call, dude." Steve complimented the younger boy as they all walked down the hill. They wanted to get started on making a home-base so that they had a safe spot where the demogorgan, hopefully, couldn't reach them.
"I said medium-well!" They heard a younger voice call out. They all looked in the direction as such and saw Lucas waving at them, but he had Max with him. Jacqueline furrowed her eyebrows, she being the last person she expected to be here, but she should have known these boys would drag her into it.
"Max, what are you doing here?" Jacqueline asked as she and Lucas walked down to the group of four. Max had the exact question. "What are you doing here?"
Jacqueline didn't want to be honest if Max wasn't aware of the whole Upside-Down, demoegorgan situation, so she looked over at Lucas with her arms crossed in front of her chest. "Did you tell her?"
"I did, but she didn't believe me." Lucas explained. Jacqueline scoffed, seeing as how she didn't want someone as kind as Max to get involved with something so dangerous. Jacqueline didn't even want the people who already knew involved. Steve too was not fond of more people being brought in. Steve put his hands on his hips before he scolded, "Why did you tell more people? We do not need more people almost dying."
"Look, I'm just here to help make the metal fort to protect us from the scary bears." Max spoke dramatically, taunting everyone since she didn't believe a word of this rhetoric. Nothing about the upside-down or the demogorgans, she thought this was some elaborate scheme.
