❛ if you'd be my bodyguard, i can be your long-lost pal ❜
𝑆𝐼𝑁𝐶𝐸 𝐵𝐼𝐿𝐿𝑌 𝐷𝐸𝐶𝐼𝐷𝐸𝐷 𝑇𝑂 make a grand entrance at the Byers' home, Steve was very strict about all the kids staying inside and out of sight. Wesley went straight out back to see Jacqueline and to make sure that she stayed there. They didn't want Jacqueline to have to revisit her greatest trauma, fight a demogorgan, and deal with her recently made ex-boyfriend all in the span of a few hours. They needed Jacqueline out of this equation, which was Wesley's job.
Steve had walked right outside and stood on the front porch, putting his hands on his hips as he watched Billy step out of his car. He assumed he was most likely there for Jacqueline, which wasn't helpful to anyone. Steve stared him down, watching the boy stand tall with a cigarette between his lips. "Am I dreaming, or is that you, Harrington?"
"Yeah, it's me. Don't cream your pants."
Billy slammed his car door behind him. That same deadly and hateful glare that Steve wore was matching with Billy's. The blonde boy took a few steps forward, Steve walked down the stairs and meeting in the middle. On Billy's search Max with a side of Jacqueline, the last person he expected to see was Steve Harrington. "What are you doing here, amigo?"
"I could ask you the same thing. Amigo." Steve taunted. The two boys standing face had a clear and definitive rivalry. They hated each other with such a great passion, one they hadn't felt for anyone else. This was a spiteful passion and the only reason for it was Jacqueline; the competition they had surrounding her affections.
"I'm looking for Jackie. And my step-sister. I figured that she would have gone to Jackie. My step-sister trusts her, you know? I mean, who wouldn't? She's so open and kind. It's one of the many things I love about her." Billy explained, but one word really caught Steve's attention. "Love? Really?"
"You got a problem with that, Harrington?" Billy asked as some smoke escaped his lips.
"Yeah, I do, actually." Steve crossed his arms. "And you know, I've been with Jackie all night and I haven't seen your step-sister. I don't actually know what she looks like."
