𝐽𝐴𝐶𝑄𝑈𝐸𝐿𝐼𝑁𝐸, 𝑊𝐸𝑆𝐿𝐸𝑌, 𝑆𝑇𝐸𝑉𝐸, 𝐴𝑁𝐷 Dustin all had a plan to lure Dart, the baby demogorgan, back to a trap they were going to make so that they wouldn't have any problems like they did the last time. Jacqueline was getting ready in her room and Wesley in his, but meanwhile, at the front door, Billy knocked, hoping to see Jacqueline for the day.
Thomas and Mary were the ones that opened the door instead of Jacqueline. Billy hoped to spend the day with his girlfriend, unaware of the otherworldly and supernatural plans. Thomas immediately smiled at the boy, being a naturally kind man while Mary crossed her arms in front of her chest and glared at the boy standing before her. "Can we help you?"
"Yeah, um, is Jacqueline here?" Billy wondered. Mary looked him up and down, scanning to see if he was fit to so much as speak her daughter's name. Mary had always been protective of her children, especially after everything that happened to Jacqueline.
"I didn't think she had friends other than Steve and Eddie." Mary pointed out, to which Billy nervously clarified, "I'm uh, her boyfriend, ma'am."
Billy never thought he'd be so nervous to talk to someone, but he genuinely felt something deep for Jacqueline. He had never met someone so accepting and understanding of who he is, but Jacqueline was too good for him, for this world. Everyone around her except the girl herself knew that.
"Oh! Billy Hargrove! It's so good to meet you!" Thomas expressed happily, remembering the mention of him at breakfast. Thomas held out his hand for Billy to shake, which he did, but didn't expect such a rigorous and excited handshake. It rattled him a little. Mary still was not amused as Thomas pointed out, "I've heard wonderful things about you."
"And terrible." Mary recalled speaking with Wesley about his sister's boyfriend. She knew that Jacqueline would only say good things, but Wesley was too blunt for his own good. She could get accurate information from him.
