𝐽𝐴𝐶𝑄𝑈𝐸𝐿𝐼𝑁𝐸 𝐻𝐴𝑆 𝐴𝐿𝑊𝐴𝑌𝑆 𝐻𝐴𝐷 a knack for bugging everyone around her whether that be on purpose or unintentional. Everyone in Hawkins despised her simply because of her presence, but those feelings were misguided. She always tried to get on Wesley and Eddie's nerves for her own amusement, but she never tried to anger Steve. She did so, however, when she went into the lab without any protection.

Steve practically begged for Jacqueline not to go in by herself since he didn't want her to relive anything horrible or risk her life, but everyone, including Steve, knew that she was the one person in the group that should be going into the lab considering she had the best chance of actually getting back out again.

Both Wesley and Steve tried to go with her, not wanting Jacqueline to face this alone, but she continued to refuse. It was also quite difficult when Jacqueline used fire to push herself over the gate that she still couldn't get open.

Jacqueline had gone straight up to the front door, but had to pause a moment. Jacqueline hadn't even seen the lab since the day she escaped, it was pretty jarring to be going inside. As soon as she stepped foot in that building, Jacqueline felt her heart drop. She felt cold, isolated all over again. Jacqueline was lucky that her focus was drawn to the demogorgans when she heard them screeching in the distance.

Jacqueline made her hands heat up, but it was far more significant. Her fingertips glowed orange while the veins in her arms too turned red as she began to move through the lab. Instead of holding fire, which took a lot of work, she was doing this, which was far easier.

Jacqueline worked through different halls of the lab, making sure to clear the first floor first. She hadn't made through all of it since she only walked around for about three minutes. She hadn't found any demogorgans, Will, or Mike, unfortunately.

Jacqueline continued to move towards the screeches of the demogorgans, but this lab was practically a maze. She didn't know it like the back of her hand since she remained in one room most of the time, but from her escape and select few times she was let out of that hellish metal room, she recognized a few things.
