4. Saviors

Itami carefully dives into the well with the intention to rescue the elf. He looks down on the elf admiring her beauty. However, he stopped gazing on her and picked her up to get out of the well.

"I got her!" Yelled Itami.

A cruiser driven by the well and stops. Jerome, the marines, the ODSTs, and a few members of the JSDF were nearby the well. Tomita looked down the well and prepared a zip line to extract Itami.

"Keep it steady!" Tomita instructed.

As Itami climbed out of the well, the JSDF was shocked of whoever Itami was carrying on his back.

"We found a person! Hurry up!" Itami yelled.

"Roger!" Said the rest of the members of 3rd Recon Team.

Jerome pulled up a comms channel in his hud and requested a nightingale from Captain Cutter. He thought that the nightingale's restoration drones should heal any burns on the elf.

"Sir, we need a nightingale for medical support. Sending the coordinates." Said Jerome.

"Sending the nightingale now. Jerome, did you make contact on the settlement yet? I haven't heard from you in the past 10 hours, what happened?" Asked Captain Cutter.

"We made it to the settlement, but it was burnt down sir. We also made contact with the JSDF again, they've helped us uncover what happened with the settlement. It turns out, a fire dragon reduced it to rubble. There was one survivor that survived, it's an elf." Said Jerome.

"The JSDF? It's good to hear that you made contact with them. Also, are you aware of where the fire dragon is at?" Asked Captain Cutter.

"We're not exactly sure sir, but I suspect it would be going for other settlements. Such as Coda Village. It's nearby the settlement I'm in." Said Jerome.

"Hm, keep me updated if anything happens. My forces are fighting the banished on the Ark as we speak. Signing off." Said Captain Cutter.

The Nightingale that Jerome requested arrived at lightning speed.  The JSDF was suprised by the sight of the nightingale, Sasagawa and Kuribayashi slightly raised their rifles suspecting it might be an enemy. Jerome intervened prepared to explain on what it is.

"Don't shoot. It's with us, I've requested support to heal the elf." Said Jerome.

Sasagawa and Kuribayashi raised down their rifles in relief, but both of them were curious of the aircraft.

"I need one of you to bring the elf to me and lay her down." Jerome requested.

Itami and Kurata was quick to respond as Itami layed the elf on the stretcher and brought down the stretcher to Jerome with Kurata carrying the other side of the stretcher.

"Everyone stand back, let the restoration drones do their thing." Said Jerome.

The restoration drones detached from the nightingale and descended towards the elf and projected a light to her wounds which healed over time. The restoration drones were eventually finished healing the elf, and the drones re-attached themselves to the nightingale.  However, she's not moving a muscle.

"The wounds, they're gone that quick?!" Said Kurokawa who was astonished.

"Itami, Kurata, take her to the tent." Said Jerome.

"Got it." Said Itami/Kurata in unison.

Itami and Kurata walked to the tent with the elf in the stretcher and layed her down on the bed.

"Her BP is high enough to move her.  But we need her to get out of these wet clothes." Said Kurokawa.

"Sorry, this is gotta go." Said Kuribayashi as she used scissors to cut parts of the elf's clothes.
