"Have you heard about the tea?" My friend asked. It was already a sign for me that she's about to start gossiping this early in the morning. "There's gonna be a new student and it's a guy!"
"He's a late enrollee? It's already been a month since school started." I replied as I put my books in my locker.
"I know right. Like, if I were him, I would've just waited for the next school year to come!" She said with hand gestures. "Well, he's gonna be a new guy tomorrow!" She exclaimed as she jumped up and down.
"How come I didn't know about this?" I mumbled to myself, but still audible enough for my friend to hear.
"Because you don't like teas. It's pretty juicy to know such dramas and events going on, you know?"

The next day came and I went to my locker to get my stuff for today's schedule. I pulled a book that made all of my books fall to the ground. I flinched and sighed, looking down on the books scattered on the ground.
I bent down to pick up my books when I saw shoes that clearly didn't belong to me. I looked up and saw a guy bending down and starting to help me. I thanked him when we stood up and he gave me my books. I put them back in my locker neatly.
"Have we met before?" He asked.
"I guess." I said while trying to remember something. He really did look familiar to me. I snapped my fingers and pointed at him with a big smile plastered on my face the moment I remembered where I met him. "Oh! You were the boy I helped a month ago."
He smiled widely too. "Oh, so it was you! I didn't get to introduce myself that day. I'm Zhang Zhenyuan."
"Hi, I'm -"
He cut me off. "No need to tell me. I already know your name."
I looked at him with a confused look. "How?"
"I have my ways." He grinned and started walking away with his hands in his pockets and a bag slung over his shoulder. "See you later!"
I watched as he walked away and decided to just shrug it off. I have better things to think about. I was about to go to class when my friend popped out of nowhere and claimed she saw everything.
"So, what's your relationship with the new guy?" She smirked as we walked.
"Uh, friends? I don't know, we just met."
"Oh, really? Then why does he know your name already?"
I shrugged. She gave up and just changed the topic. We went into the classroom and sat down beside each other.
I was boringly listening to the tea she's been spilling until the teacher came. "Settle down, class. Today we have a late comer. Please come in."
"Woah, the new guy's with us!" My friend whisper-shouted in excitement.
Then, Zhenyuan came in with a smile on his face. He introduced himself and the teacher instructed him to sit next to me.

After a couple months, we got along together very well and became very close friends.
One day, while I was with my friend, she told me something unbelievable. "Hey, have you heard?" She asked.
"Here we go again." I complained and rolled my eyes.
"Zhenyuan likes you!" She giggled.
"Very funny." I sarcastically said. "And where did you get that 'news' from?"
She pointed at a figure walking, it was Zhenyuan. "You can go ask him yourself."
I sighed and ran up to him, leaving my friend behind who was still giggling about the tea she just spilled. "Hey Zhenyuan, have you heard about the rumor?" I started.
"Are you now into gossiping as well?"
I smacked his arm. "They said that you like me. It's not true, is it?"
"It is not a rumor at all. I really do like you."
