Arcade ~ He Junlin

I dragged my bestfriend, He Junlin, to an arcade and we played a lot of games there just to get the prize that I wanted. It was a big cat stuffed toy.

We sat for a while on one of the chairs in the arcade. "We don't have enough tickets." I whined, holding on the bunch of tickets in my hand.

"Take a rest first." He said and panted. He just played the basketball thing in the arcade for more than ten times!

I kept on whining at the tickets. "Can we still get it?" I asked, pertaining to the cat stuffed toy.

"Of course!" He encouraged. "We'll get that stuffed toy in no time!"

"You sure?" I whined again, slowly losing hope.

"Don't give up! Let's just rest for a while, we'll come back after we energize ourselves!" He said and stood up. "What do you want to eat?"

"Hmm, I'm craving for ice cream!"

"Come on, I'll treat you ice cream." He smiled and lent me a hand.

We walked around the mall trying to find ice cream. I bumped into this tall guy and it made me fall on my butt. Junlin helped me stand up and the guy turned around to apologize. He looks familiar.

"Junlin?!"

"Ding Ge." Junlin nodded at the guy.

The guy next to him coughed. "Xiaoding, I think we shouldn't disturb him."

"Why?"

The guy who coughed turned his head towards us then to that Ding guy. Oh, I know! They were the ones on his phone!

The Ding guy coughed along with the guy next to him. "You are right, Jiaqi." He coughed.

The two of them kept coughing. Fake coughing. Obviously fake coughing.

Junlin sighed. "If you both are sick, why bother going out? Go home and take a rest."

"No, no, no, no. We were perfectly fine until we saw a coup- " Jiaqi didn't get to finish his sentence because Ding guy slapped his butt. Literally.

"Xiaoma Ge, do you want to die at such a young age?" Junlin threatened.

"Uhh, bye, Yaowen!" Ding Ge said while pulling Jiaqi Gege by the hood.

"Well that was weird." I commented.

"They are weird." He said, emphasizing the word.

We continued to walk around when my friends saw me. They greeted me and coughed like there's no tomorrow. They were teasing me. They know that I have been liking Junlin for a long time now.

Yes, I like my bestfriend.

They kept fake coughing while giggling when they were having a chat with me. I kept widening my eyes at them and smile with my gritted teeth, signaling them to stop making it obvious.

"If you guys don't stop, I shall invite the Red Queen over to cut off your heads!" I threatened.

They laughed even more and Junlin smiled along which made me blush of embarrassment.

"You're just proving us that you are childish!" One of them said.

"Don't talk to me." I stubbornly said.

"Awe, the baby of the group is mad." The eldest of the group said teasingly. I sighed again and they laughed.

"We'll leave the two of you alone. We can't ruin the ship so goodbye! Have fun." One of them said and dragged the others with her.

"Well that was weird." He commented.

"Deja vu."

We continued to walk around the mall and finally found DQ. We bought two mini cups and ate there while just looking at memes on our phones. After he scrolled to the next meme, I saw a photo of myself sleeping in the cinemas. My mouth was even open agape.

"Why, you!" I said to him and tried to get his phone but he retreated the phone. "Delete that photo!"

"Not a chance. I'm still posting this on your birthday." He grinned.

"Please, not on my birthday." I face palmed.

We went back to the arcade and finally got enough tickets for the big cat. But before that, Junlin wanted to dance so I just held onto the bunch of tickets and watched him dance like an expert. I really admire it when he dances. He looks so cool. It's like he's a different person when dancing. His mischievous look starts fading and a handsome look starts to appear.

After dancing, he smiled at me. "Wow, you gained some viewers." I teased and nodded my head towards the direction of the crowd circling him just now.

He looked at the crowd and smiled once again then looked back at me. "Come on. Let's get that big stuffed toy for you."

As we went there to the prize redemption section, we gave the tickets and finally I got to choose the prize. I chose the big cat stuffed toy I've been wanting to hug. The guy behind the counter stood on a stool and got it. As soon as it was given to me, I hugged it dearly and jumped like a kid.

"Hey, wait up!" I heard Junlin said. I looked back to him and hugged him along with the stuffed toy.

"Thank you so much!" When I realized what I have done, I quickly pulled away and cleared my throat. "I just got too happy, sorry."

We walked around the mall with Junlin hugging the stuffed toy. "You know, you look really cute when you're happy." He blurted out. "That's why I always do my best to make you happy."

"That's sweet, Xiaohe." I smiled.

"I don't know if this will make you happy but," he stopped on his tracks and looked at me straight into the eyes. I stopped on my tracks too and looked at him, waiting for him to continue what he was about to say.

"I like you."
