Steven said that he had a surprise planned for me the next day and to be ready to leave by 6:30. He told me that I didn't have to dress up or anything but I couldn't help but put on a little bit more makeup than normal.
"You ready, Laur?" Steven yelled from down the hall.
I grabbed my purse from off my bed and hurried out to the guest room where he was talking to Emmie.
"We will only be gone for a couple of hours, and besides, you've been home alone for that long before. Don't open the door for anyone, and stay upstairs just to be safe. Call me if you need me." He leaned over and brought Emmie into a hug before kissing her head. "I love you, Em."
"Love you too," she replied and grabbed the TV remote shortly after. "Bye!"
"Bye Emmie," I said and Steven and I walked downstairs.
After driving for a few minutes, Steven noticed me yawn. "You should take a little nap, babe. I'll wake you when we get there."
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yep, so sleep," he playfully demanded and I closed my eyes while laughing.

"Lauren, Lauren, wake up. We are here," Steven whispered in my ear and lightly kissed it before I opened my eyes to meet his.
"Hmm," I mumbled and unstrapped myself, getting out of the car after.
"Now cover your eyes," he said excitedly. I let out another laugh at how excited he was and put my hands over my eyes. A few seconds later, I felt his hands over mine, as if he thought I would spoil the surprise and look. I shuffled forward by using Steven's directions, nervous that I would run into something or fall. "I got you," he reassured me, probably realizing how tense I was.
After a couple minutes, we stopped. "Here we are." He brought my hands away from my face to reveal a picnic on a large field of grass, looking out onto the beautiful sunset. On the picnic blanket, there was different types of my favorite foods with a box in the center with four small candles on it. "I know, I know, its clichè and you definitely deserve better but-"
I cut him off by grabbing his face with both my hands and firmly pressing my lips onto his. His arms wrapped around my waist and I whispered, "It's perfect. I love it."
We both sat down shortly after and I leaned back onto Steven's chest and his arms wrapped around me, myself laying between his legs. He ran his hands down my arms until they reached my hands where our fingers quickly laced together.
I laid in Steven's arms, just watching to sunset for a while, loving every moment.
"Oh, I have something for you," he said and reached into his back pocket, pulling out a small fabric jewelry bag. "Here."
I smiled and took it from his hands. "What's this all for? Our two month anniversary isn't until tomorrow."
"Well we have filming tomorrow so we wouldn't be able to do anything, but I wanted to surprise you with something anyways so why not tonight?" I smiled at his words. "Besides, I wanted to show you how much you mean to me. Now open it."
I pull the little string on the bag and carefully dumped out the contents into my hand. A golden chain with a heart charm attached to it was what it was. I lightly rubbed my thumb over the top of the heart charm. The words engraved on it said:
My heart belongs to you, my love
"I tried to find something as beautiful as you, but that's impossible so I settled on this," he said.
I didn't know what to say, he did all that for me. Nobody had ever done anything like that for me but it didn't care because I had Steven. So I said the plain truth. "I love you goddamn much."
His lips kissed the side of my mouth before I tilted my head back so he could kiss me again. Steven took the necklace from my hands and put it around my neck. I let out a happy sigh and snuggled back into his chest after. My arms reached back behind me and wrapped around his neck, my fingers playing with his hair on the back of his head.
"Steven?" I asked after a moment of silence.
"Yeah?" He asked and his arms tightened around me.
"Do you-" I then stopped, unsure whether I wanted to ask or not. "Nevermind."
"Lauren, you can ask and tell me anything and I will still always love you no matter what," Steven said into my hair.
I bit my lip and played with the heart charm on my new necklace. "It's just.....do you see a future for us? Like us getting married and having kids?" I wasn't sure if I wanted to know the answer. I was scared of him saying no.
"Do you?" He asked in return.
"I asked you first," I chuckled.
"Okay, on three we both say our answers," he suggested and I nodded. He took in a deep breath before counting to three. On three, we both said:
"Yes."
