What fascinated Jade the most was the interior, which was covered from top to bottom in the distinctive colors of Slytherin - green and silver. *Although she wasn't aware of what the houses were yet* As she stepped inside, she couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The vault was enormous, and piles upon piles of money were stacked all around her. It was a sight that both amazed and confused her. How could one person possibly have so much wealth?
'650$? This seems like millions maybe billions...' She thought to herself as
Lucius watched as Jade's expression shifted from curiosity to confusion. He couldn't bear to see her lost and bewildered, so he stepped forward to speak on her behalf.
"This cannot be correct," Lucius spoke firmly, his voice carrying the weight of authority. "I was once married to one of the Blacks. This is one of their vaults."
Jade's confusion deepened, not quite grasping the significance of Lucius' words. However, before she could voice her confusion, the goblin interjected, eager to shed some light on the situation.
"Dumbledore doesn't want her to know who she really is," the goblin explained, his tone matter-of-fact. "This is the only way I'm allowed to hint at who she is, Malfoy."
Jade's surprise was palpable, her mouth slightly agape as she struggled to process the revelation. The weight of her true identity was slowly sinking in, but her mind was still reeling from the unexpected turn of events. She was too stunned to fully comprehend the goblin's words, her attention consumed by the sudden upheaval of her understanding of herself and her place in the world. Lucius exchanged a concerned glance with the goblin, realizing that Jade's shock had momentarily rendered her unable to listen or respond.
He knew that this moment was crucial, that Jade needed time to absorb the truth and come to terms with her identity. Lucius vowed to support her through this bewildering journey, guiding her with wisdom and understanding. As silence lingered, Lucius stepped closer to Jade, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. By the end of her visit, she had handed over her muggle money to the goblin. In return, the goblin gave her a total of 50 Gallions, 117 Sickles, and 200 Knuts.
The transaction went smoothly, and she was ready to leave. However, before parting ways, the goblin made an unusual request, at least for Jade.
"Can you pull your hood down?" the goblin asked. "I'd like to see if you look like her."
Confused, she nodded and proceeded to remove her hood. Unbeknownst to her, this action held a deeper meaning that she failed to comprehend. But Lucius, who was accompanying her, understood the goblin's intent all too well. Lucius moved closer to her and placed a hand on her back, providing reassurance and comfort as she revealed her true identity.
'That... that means she's...' He shook his head, refusing to even let that thought continue, not wanting to get his own hopes up.
Bella's daughter was his favorite family member, second only to his own son. Within seconds of removing her hood, every goblin in the place surrounded her, making her feel uneasy.
"Back up, back up! This is not Lestrange!" shouted the goblin who'd taken her to the vaults.
"Well, she certainly looks like her," said a feminine voice at the entrance of the bank.
"Who are you?" Jade asked the witch.
Jade's heart pounded in her chest as she faced the curious gazes of the goblins. She had come to the bank in search of answers, but she hadn't expected to draw so much attention. The goblin who had guided her to the vaults seemed defensive, insisting that she was not the infamous Lestrange. Jade wondered who this Lestrange person was and what trouble she had gotten herself into. As the goblins backed away, Jade turned her attention to the mysterious witch who had spoken.
