Not getting to talk to your best friend for years sucks. Jackson would only let me talk to Lyla. He thought I would cheat on him if I stayed in touch with Eddy, my best friend. He was like a brother to me, when Billy left, he was there. Eddy has always been there, since I moved here. He's always been there to help me, he's only a year older than me. I would see him at school all the time but I couldn't talk to him, Jackson would kill me. Seeing him a few days ago felt good, I missed his sweet voice and his bear hugs.

"Noah, is it okay with you if I call Eddy? I haven't really had a chance to completely catch up with him yet. It won't be anything more than a phone call, I promise," I asked.

"You don't need to ask me to do anything, you're your own person. You can do whatever you want as long as you just tell me what you're doing, that's all." Noah leaned in and kissed me sweetly. I don't deserve him.

"Okay," I answered, slightly confused. I waited for the 'if'. I waited for the conditions. I could do whatever I want as long as I told him what I was doing? I seriously doubt that.

"Max, it's not normal for your significant other to completely cross your boundaries. A healthy relationship relies on trust, communication, and boundaries. I trust you, we can communicate our issues if needed, and we both respect each other's boundaries. I get that Jackson wanted you to ask for permission to do anything, but that isn't healthy, he didn't trust you. I promise there isn't a catch for me trusting you."

I grinned, this is why I loved Noah. He treated me with nothing but the utmost respect, he cared about me and my health. He was willing to do literally anything for me, and more. I didn't deserve someone like him. "I love you," I said.

"I love you too! Now, go call Eddy, I know you want to talk to him really bad. Don't feel bad if you're on the phone all day either."

I smiled and practically ran to the kitchen. I grabbed the phone and dialed Eddy's phone number. It rang twice before I heard, "Hello, this is the Hardy residence." I giggled quietly.

"Oh hey, sorry, I thought an Eddy lived there. But you don't sound like him. My bad," I laughed.

"Oh, Max, hi! What's up?" He asked. His tone was slightly worried, he was probably confused why I was calling him.

"Oh, I just missed you and wanted to talk to you. It's been a long few years of not being able to talk to my best friend." I laughed slightly.

"I'm not doing anything today, do you want to come over?" He asked.

"Yeah, hold on, let me go talk to Noah really quick." I set the phone on the counter and ran to our room. "Hey Noah, is it okay if I go hang out with Eddy?"

Noah laughed, "What did we talk about earlier? Just let me know that you're going somewhere, you don't have to ask for permission."

"Oh, right," I replied and ran back to the phone. "I can come over! I can just drive over to yours. You didn't move right?"

Eddy laughed, "No, I didn't move. The same mansion I've always lived in. Um, is everything okay, though?"

I felt confused, "Yeah, everything is fine. Why do you ask?"

"No reason. I can't wait to see you though!" Eddy answered quickly. This wasn't normal, there was something off in Eddy's voice. His words and his attitude were off as well. I've known him since I moved here, but maybe the years of not talking to him just made me forget his voice.

"Me too! I'm gonna start getting ready, I'll see you soon!" I hung up the phone and walked to my bedroom, Noah was still laying down. I laughed and crawled back in bed, cuddling up next to his warm body. He pulled me into his arms and kissed the top of my head. "I don't know what I did to deserve someone as amazing as you. I really don't deserve you. You're too good," I rant. Noah sat up and looked at me, he put his hands on my cheeks and pulled my face closer to him.
