The weather was nice, the ground was covered in crunchy orange and yellow leaves. The wind blew softly. Max walked next to me slowly. We went on a long walk, mostly staying silent. I had remembered Max saying that she used to really like going on walks, so I took her on one, hopefully to get to know her better. Most of the stuff I know about her has been sad, I know she doesn't like to talk about herself. We've mostly just been walking in silence. Sometimes it is nice to just embrace her presence.

I looked down at Max, her eyes wandered around the beautiful trees. There was an innocent sparkle in her eyes that I haven't seen before, she smiled sweetly. Her beauty was so natural, there was nothing imperfect. Every freckle was perfectly placed, she had a perfectly portonate face. There was literally nothing wrong about her. "You're staring, my love," She giggled. I smiled but didn't look away.

I liked seeing her this happy. It seemed like she didn't have a worry in her mind, and hopefully there wasn't. Not even one's in the slightest We've been walking for well over two hours. I could notice Max getting slower, her face was pale.

"Baby, are you okay? Do you want to turn back?" I asked. I took an abrupt stop, looking down at Max. It looked like she had seen a ghost, her face was pale, her shoulders shook. My stomach started to twist as I pieced things together. She was starving herself again.

"Uhm, can we? I'm starting to feel a little sick," She answered.

I pressed the back of my hand to her forehead, she had a fever. "I know you don't want me too, but can you get on my back? You look like you're about to pass out." She rolled her eyes annoyed.

"I think I'm going to be a little too heavy," She answered. Her head dropped and she looked at the ground. I can bench at least quadruple her weight, I hate that she's got it stuck in her mind that she's heavy when she's clinically underweight.

"Max, do I need to get into this? I can lift quadruple your weight. And you saw how easy it is for me to just throw Jackson. You know that you're wrong. Now, please, just get on my back," I replied.

"Fine," She answered. I smiled slightly and knelt down. She jumped on my back and we started to walk back. Her forehead rested on my shoulder as we walked. Everytime I pick her up, she's lighter than before.

"You know, you really aren't going to be too heavy for me to carry. You forget that I used to work out a lot. What you don't see, is when you're sleeping I still work out. Not going to the gym, but I do push ups and stuff while you're still asleep."

"If that's true, then how come you never stink? I don't understand, you're a guy and you literally never smell bad. You always smell like cigarettes and vanilla, sometimes with a hint of leather. I don't understand why you smell that good," She said, with a tone of confusion.

I giggled quietly, "I take a shower every morning. My uncle taught me to always have good hygiene. Especially when I was with you, I always tried to smell good. So, showers every morning and deodorant."

"Well, that doesn't explain it. Because I can smell all the things you smoke. I don't think you just wear merijuana and cigarette deodorant." Damn, she caught me. Smoking was the one habit I hoped to keep secret. I kept the thought of it buried especially after finding out that she can read my mind.

"Tell me you aren't mad about me smoking and I'll keep smelling like the way I do. Tell me you are, then I'll quit cold turkey," I answered abruptly.

She giggled and lifted her head from my shoulder, "I'm surprised you don't know." Don't know what? I was starting to panic. "I smoke, I used to smoke a lot with my brother. But I stopped doing it as much. A lot of the time I just take gummies. I'm just surprised that you haven't seen me high or anything."
