XII. Expedition

"What are these? They look tasty." Sierra said.

"Hear, eat this." I give Sierra a plate of rice and adobong manok.

"Its good, Its texture is soft and slightly chewy, providing a pleasant mouthfeel. And this dish captivates with its savory and tangy taste."

"Of course, ako ang nagluto." I confidently said.

"Don't forget me," the demon lord interrupted. This is what I am confused about, he knows how to cook mortals foods. On top of that, he's there at mortal world. My thoughts really don't add up. Konti nalang talaga, maniniwala na akong siya nga si Jace.

"Lady Carmilla, I have something to report on you." Roxy said, my personal assistant ever since I was a kid.

"Go on."

"We have detected unnatural cave at the south area of this land. We believe that it was created yesterday by unknown creature."

"How can you be so sure that it's just an artificial cave?" The demon lord asked.

"Cause I order them to check this land every day, for everyone's safety. Kung hindi nila nakita ang kweba noong mga nakaraang araw, it is disturbing kung ngayon lang nila napansin  iyon. Plus, they are trained to remember and memorize every detail and information they encounters." Ako na ang sumagot sa tanong nito.

"In other words, someone invaded this place without notice?" Sierra asked.

"Have you checked what's on the inside?"

"My apologies, but I can't drastically make decision when there's possibility of endangering our lives,  I am merely waiting for your order to take action."

After the demon lord and I finished eating, we have decided na kami nalang ang papasok sa loob ng cave dahil nalunod na silang lahat kumain.

"This is the cave, huh. Truly, I sensed something powerful." He said. He held my hand again. "Let's go."

As we ventured deeper, his unwavering presence provided a profound sense of security, as he held my hand, guiding me through the twists and turns of our perilous journey.

The cave, a testament to the forces of nature and the unknown, was unlike any I had ever encountered. Its intricate formations and ethereal glow hinted at the presence of a powerful and otherworldly being. This mysterious creature, whose creation manifested in this cave, intrigued our senses and beckoned us further into its enigmatic labyrinth.

At every corner of the cave, we were immersed in an unfathomable energy. As we traversed through the narrow passages and vast chambers, the force seemed to intensify, resonating through the very fabric of our beings. It was as if the cave itself possessed the essence of ancient primordial magic, channeling a power beyond comprehension.

"On your guard," he commanded.

"Bitawan mo kaya ako," reklamo ko dito na sinunod naman niya kaagad without saying anything.

Our peaceful expedition was abruptly interrupted when we stumbled upon a horde of slimes, creatures known for their weakness to fire and acid.

Instinctively, we defended ourselves, retaliating against their assault. With each movement, fire and acid erupted from our fingertips, engulfing the slimes in a fiery spectacle.

Mabuti nalang, I copied my father's fire magic. I am more curious why the person I am with can manipulate both magic.  Kasi kung ako, nakakagamit ako ng iba't-ibang magic because of mimicry.

Among the horde of slimes, one stood out, towering above the rest. This colossal slime defied the laws of nature, exhibiting the ability to deflect not only the fires and acid we hurled at it but also our very expectations.

"Huh?" A sense of awe and trepidation washed over me as I landed my attacks, only to witness them bounce off harmlessly, as if repelled by an invisible shield.

Both of our fire and acid magic are now useless, and I can't think of anything that can defeat the colossal slime. "Stand back," panic threatened to consume me. However, it was the Demon King who tapped my head gently, assuring me of his unwavering protection.

In that very moment, he sprung into action, launching a relentless assault upon the mighty slime. To my astonishment, the Demon King's blows connected with unfathomable precision and force, overpowering the formidable creature in a display of unyielding strength.

He is surely fast, but...

A thick and slimy liquid enveloped the whole area, including us,  as he continually attacking the colossal slime.
