XIII. The Egg

With the slimes defeated, we resumed our exploration deeper into the cave's depths.

"Sa palagay mo, sino ang may kakayahang gumawa ng ganitong uri ng lugar?" I uttered.

"Beat me."

As we pressed forward, our steps guided by a newfound sense of purpose, we stumbled upon a sight that both astonished and intrigued us. There, surrounded by pixie fairies, lay a single huge egg—pure and undeniably significant.

The pixie fairies, bowing their heads in reverence, revealed to us the divine nature of the egg. The slimes that we have defeated, turns out those are their guardians, to keep them safe. And whoever defeated those, is the chosen one.

Chosen to take good care of the egg.

They spoke of its inherent power and an impending destiny that would shape the world itself. The responsibility of nurturing this extraordinary creature fell upon us, as it possessed the potential to liberate us from impending darkness and fulfill an extraordinary purpose.

"So you're saying that this egg is a dragon?" I asked.

"Yes, and a very powerful one."

"We'd like to refuse." The demon lord interrupted. 

"May we know the reason of your refusal?" The pixie asked.

"The world might be chaotic. Do you know why Gods separated Dragons to other creatures and mankind? Because they can immediately destroy the world when they created havoc." He contended. He is right, I am reluctant too to take care of the dragon. Hindi pa ako handang mamatay ulit.

"I agree with that, but we needed someone who's powerful enough to handle and guide the dragon."

"I have an idea, how about we'll seal its power and hide its true appearance as a human form." I insinuate.

"Are you willing to take responsibility of what may happen?" The demon lord asked.

"It depends."

"Depends on what?"

"If you'll help me to take care of it."

"I'm against about this, and you're expecting me to help you?"

"Ayaw mo talaga?" Paninigurado ko.

"No"

"Sure na 'yan?"

"Yes"

Anyari dito, bakit parang ang suplado naman yata nito ngayon? "May problema ka ba sakin?" I faced him while crossing my arm. I also used the tone of being in a maldita-mode.

"That pixies, clinging you too much." Turo niya sa leeg ko. Hala di ko napansin na may pixies palang nakapalibot sa'kin, puro pa lalaki.

"Wala namang problema sa akin."

"Okay," the demon lord bitterly said. After that, an immense aura and a murderous intent arises from him. I suddenly felt weak, just as those day of assembly.Napaluhod ako sa tindi ng pressure na nararamdaman ko. Even the pixies cannot stand his overwhelming power, ang iba ay nahulog na mula sa pagkakalipad.

"M-my lord." I called him, but to no avail. I called him many times, but I just got ignored. I have no choice, but to use his endearment on me. "L-love, stop." Actually endearment rin namin ni Jace iyon, pero bahala na. To my surprise, his overflowing aura sedated.

"T-the egg," the pixie near me said. Parehas kaming hindi makagalaw, the demon lord help me to stand, ni hindi manlang nag-sorry psh.

As I turn my gaze into the egg, it is now gradually hatching. "It is not the right time." The other pixie shouted. Everyone began to be frantic. Kahit ako ay nagpapanic na rin, pero wala naman akong alam na gagawin, kundi ang manood na lang sa kanila.

"Maybe, the egg cracked from the overwhelming power of mine," the lord said.
