The morning after the intense meeting, the castle was unusually quiet. The previous day's revelations had left a heavy atmosphere, like a storm was brewing. As I walked down the corridors, I could feel the tension in the air, the uncertainty of what lay ahead.

Jace found me in the library, pouring over the ancient texts about the Abyssal King and his vessels. He looked tired, the strain of the situation evident in his eyes. But there was a determination there too, a resolve that made my heart swell.

"Okay ka lang? Baka pagod ka na, you can rest naman."

"Thank you, but we need first to understand more about these vessels," he said, joining me at the table. "Dia's confession changes everything."

We spent hours in the library, reading through dusty tomes and deciphering cryptic texts. We learned about the vessels' unique powers, about the resurrection process of the Abyssal King, and about the mark that each vessel bore.

As we delved deeper into the texts, it spoke of a prophecy, a chosen one who would rise to defeat the Abyssal King and his vessels.

The day turned into night as we discussed strategies, potential allies, and the looming threat of the abyss. Despite the challenges ahead, I felt a sense of hope. We were not alone in this battle, and with knowledge on our side, we stood a fighting chance.

As we adjourned for the night, I couldn't help but think about Dia. Her confession had set this all in motion. She was the enemy, a vessel of the Abyssal King, but she was also our only link to understanding our foe. The next few days would be crucial. We needed to learn as much as we could from Dia, for our kingdom, for our people, and for the battle that lay ahead.

Just as we were about to call it a night, the library door creaked open, its out baby Von Walter, along with his nanny. The sight of them was a welcome relief, a reminder of the beautiful life amidst the chaos.

Jace took Von from his nanny and said, "Thank you, you may now go." The nanny nodded, leaving us alone in the library.

Jace sat next to me, Von in his arms. Our son, with his bright eyes and innocent smile, seemed oblivious to the tension that hung in the air. Seeing him there, so peaceful and content, filled me with a renewed sense of purpose.

"We're doing this for him, aren't we?" Jace said, his voice soft as he looked at Von. "For his future, for a world where he doesn't have to fear the abyss."

I nodded, reaching out to gently stroke Von's cheek. "Yes," I replied, "We're fighting for a safer world for him, for all of us."

As we sat there in the quiet library, our son sleeping peacefully in our arms, we knew what we had to do. The battle against the abyss was daunting, but we had something worth fighting for.

As I watched Jace with Von, a warmth spread through me. He cradled our son gently, a soft smile playing on his lips. In that moment, I saw a side of Jace I hadn't seen before - Jace, the father.

The way he held Von, the way his eyes softened as he looked at him, it was as if he was made for this role. He was a natural. His strength and courage, qualities that made him a great ruler, also made him a wonderful father. He had a protective aura around him, a promise that he would do anything to keep Von safe.

It was in the quiet moments, like these, that I truly saw the man Jace was. A man of honor, of strength, of love. He was not just a warrior, or a lover, he was a father. And he was incredible at it.

Seeing Jace with Von filled me with a sense of peace. I knew that our son was in good hands, that he would grow up to be strong and kind, just like his father.

Jace caught my gaze, a playful smirk on his face. "You're looking way too much," he teased.

I couldn't help but blush, a soft smile spreading across my face. "Wala lang," I replied, "I just realized how much I love you and our son."

Jace looked taken aback for a moment, then his face broke into a wide grin. Before I could react, he leaned in, planting a soft kiss on my lips. I let out a surprised giggle, playfully hitting his arm while trying to hide my blush.

"Jace!" I exclaimed, feigning annoyance. But my smile gave me away. Despite the gravity of our situation, despite the challenges we were facing, moments like these were a reminder of the beautiful life we had created together.
