We devoured our breakfast and ended up being 10 minutes too early at the practice facility. "At least we'll be here on time," Ultraviolet stated.

Meanwhile, other teams were playing, which made me realize I had to ask Kai about my encounter with the player Samm. I looked around in our little Atlanta Reign crowd and found Kai in the back talking to someone I didn't recognize. The tall boy had striking blonde hair and deep, captivating dark eyes. Suddenly I remembered him from the last match we had played against the LA Gladiators. He was their best DPS, but his name slipped my mind.

"Kai!" I shouted to get his attention, which made Kai turn his head to me with a surprised look, "Hi Lily."

"I'm sorry to disturb your little chat, but I have a question." I declared.

"Go ahead." he nodded.

"I bumped into a player this morning. He had curly hair, glasses and I think his name was Samm... Didn't you say you had a friend named Samm?" I asked him.

"Oh, so you've already met him? I wanted to introduce you to him." Kai sighed deeply.

"I'm sorry," I laughed, "He somewhat bumped into me."

"Typical Samm." Kai rolled his eyes.

"And who is this?" I looked at the blonde boy and back at Kai. "This is Kevster," he replied.

I gave him a hand, "Nice to meet you." I smiled. I swear, I didn't know how I suddenly became so social. It must've been from being tired. But I wasn't the only one being tired. Kevster also had big bags under his eyes, they also must've had a late flight.

"You must be Lily." the blonde spoke when he shook my hand, "Kai told me about you."

I gulped, "Why does everyone know about me?"

The boys laughed. "I like your hoodie by the way," Kevster said and I thanked him.

The scrims were about to start, so we said goodbye to Kevster and took place in the facility. Scrims mostly took 2 to 3 hours, depending on how many teams were playing.

The staff and the players who weren't playing got placed in the watch room, which was looking cozy. We had a coffee machine and some blankets and cushions lying on the sofas.

I settled onto the plush sofa and let out a contented yawn.

"Lily, if you want to sleep a bit you can." Gator told me, "We'll wake you up if you are needed."

"Are you sure?" I asked him and looked over to the staff and coaches. They all nodded. "Thank you." I lay myself comfortable and closed my eyes. I felt a little bad for not staying awake for the team, but my tiredness completely took over.

I didn't dream and woke up 2 hours later. The scrims were over and the team was free to do whatever they wanted all day long since they performed pretty well except for some mistakes.  "Ya'll wanna go explore the city?" Gator suggested and everyone was in accord. Only Kai wanted to go somewhere else. He wanted to spend some time with his other friends.

I was restored from my nap and was ready to explore Dallas.

We walked around the huge skyscrapers and shops. UV and I bought Nero one of those famous white Kurt Cobain glasses. We all agreed he would look awesome with them.

Later on, we had lunch and we went to the Dallas World Aquarium. We saw enthusiastic penguins waddling by and Venom tried to communicate with the tropical fish using his best fish-face impression, but the fish was scared and swam away. We all burst into laughter when Ultraviolet and Ojee recreated some of the best scenes of "Finding Nemo".

After dinner, it started to get late and everyone decided to go back to the hotel. They were all tired and wanted to catch up on the sleep they had lost with the flight. Tomorrow was their first match of the tournament against the Florida Mayhem.

I was a little disappointed. I wanted to watch the stars and the city lights. Dallas had one of the most beautiful skylines in America.

"I'm going to stay a little longer," I told the boys. "Lily, you know how big this city is. Any sort of people live here, it can be dangerous." Nero said.

"But I want to see the stars." I pouted, "And I'm old enough to decide what I want to do." When it came to watching the stars and "talking" to my mom, I was very stubborn.

"I'll go with her." Hawk proposed, "I'm her stargazing buddy anyways." he smiled.

"Alright, we'll see you later then." Nero shrugged, he still seemed unhappy with the decision.

"Be safe," Ojee said and they left us behind. Now it was me and Hawk alone, like on every other usual night.

"Thanks for staying with me." I thanked him. His tiredness was visible on his face, but he smiled, "No problem. I wouldn't like to leave you alone in such a big city."

"Yeah, you're right," I admitted. It could be very dangerous at night, who knows what could've happened.

We walked next to each other. "So, where are we going?" Hawk asked. I thought for a moment, "I was thinking about going to a park nearby." I said. I didn't want to walk a lot anymore, my feet were a little sore. "Alright let me see." Hawk stood still and took out his phone. He used his maps app to search for the nearest park. "There is one only 10 minutes away."

"Great, we can go over there."

Writer's note:
Next chapter: more Hawk x Lily :) but it'll probably be uploaded after I'm back from France.
I really have a lot of plans for the story, so stay tuned!
I'd really appreciate it if you shared the story (idk where, maybe with your friends idk okay) and voted! It really helps me out!
Also please, can someone actually tell me if the story is good? Cause I still think it's a little cringe, and I'd like some feedback.
Anyways stay safe!
