Today we had to face the SF Shock. I connected everyone to their PC and made my way to the staff room, when Samm bumped into me, again.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." he mumbled.

"It's okay.' I reassured him. He had the same look as he had yesterday when I had left him. His eyes were filled with sadness and his smile hung down.

Seeing him like that made me feel bad. I wanted to talk to him, but I didn't know what to say. I hadn't figured out yet what I felt last night.
I awkwardly passed by, when I felt him grabbing my arm, "Can we talk after the match?" he asked me.

"Yeah, of course." I replied. His question scared me a little.

"Thanks." Samm tried to smile but failed miserably.

"Good luck." I said when he let me go. He rushed to the game room and I installed myself next to Venom and Gator in the staff room.
Frana entered the room with a few coffees and placed them on the table. Then she came to me, "Lily, would you like to go shopping with me?" she asked. The boys had practice almost all day, so it was only me and Frana today.

Shopping wasn't my thing, but I nodded, "Sure."

We watched the match as we were winning. It was 2:1 and they were about to begin the next map. It was an exciting match, a few maps were so close that they made Frana scream nervously. Even though Gator wasn't playing, she still cheered for the team.

"The point! Don't C9!" the commentator yelled, but it was too late. San Francisco Shock had let the C9 happen. "Atlanta Reign wins!" appeared on the big screen. It had been a long time since ATL had won from SFS.

Everyone in the room cheered loudly. We had won the second match, which meant we were almost in the finals. We were only one match away from it.

The players entered the staff room and I congratulated them.

"Good job boys." Brad clapped, "We'll go to the facility in 10 minutes. Make sure you're ready by then. We still have a match tomorrow."

Everyone prepared themselves. "Will I see you tonight?" Hawk asked me. He had his big glasses on and his hair got fluffy because of his headphones.

"To stargaze?" I questioned.

Hawk let out a quick chuckle in response to my question, "Of course dummy."
His remark made me blush a little. I found myself at a loss for words.

"Text me when you can." he beamed and then got his stuff.

Everyone left. Only Frana and I were left. "You wanna go?" Frana asked me.

"I'll be right there," I told her, "I have to talk to someone first."

"Okay, I'll wait."

I left the room and searched for Samm in the building. I looked across various areas, seeking out for any sign of him. I spotted Samm standing in the hallway. "Oh hey, there you are." Samm sprinted to me as I opened the hall door.

"Hi." I brought out. I felt a little uneasy and I could bring myself to look him in the eyes. An awkward silence took place.

"You played well." My heart raced as I complimented him.

"Thanks." Samm fidgeted with his hands. "Look Lily, I'm sorry for what happened yesterday. I shouldn't have done that." his tone was sincere.

"It was only a game, it's okay." I somewhat lied. I still wasn't sure about how I felt; I was scared that he didn't want to be friends anymore. I was scared that the kiss had ruined it.

"No, it's not. I didn't want to make you upset. I'm sorry. I really am."

I wanted to tell him that he wasn't the reason why I ran away, but I could once again not find any words. "Samm, I swear, it's okay." I said instead.

As Samm's arms enveloped me in a warm embrace, my racing heart began to steady. A mixture of emotions flooded my mind-surprise, comfort, and vulnerability. I was caught off guard by the sudden intimacy, but a sense of reassurance slowly replaced my fear. Maybe, just maybe, things could be okay between us.

I didn't want to leave him, but I backed up a little, stepping out of his embrace. "I have to go now, I have something planned with Frana."

"Okay, have fun." he smiled softly. The embrace had lightened him up, he had a happy glance on his face. "And if there's anything wrong, just call me." he gave me a little paper note with his number on it.

"Thanks, and I will." I put the note in my pants and left. Samm waved as I looked back one more time, before leaving Samm alone in the room. Now he had a big bright smile on his handsome face, and it made me smile too. I waved back and rushed to where I had left Frana.

She stood there, tapping on her phone. Her long black hair was perfectly styled, there was no wave to be seen. She noticed I was back and put her phone away in her big bag. "Are you ready?" she asked me.

I nodded, "Let's go shopping."
