Was Cat currently sitting at a Dodge car dealership? Yes. Did anyone close to her know? No. Cat was sad and she hasn't slept since Ghost made her, so she's getting a new car. Was it the financially smart option? No. Did she get paid enough for her to take on a 100,000 dollar car payment? Questionable. But this specific dealer was giving her a military discount. So it wasn't quite a 100,000 dollar deal, it was a little cheaper. Was this a good idea for Cat to do, especially since she is to ship out with the rest of 141 to the U.K where she wouldn't be able to drive the damn thing? No. But when did she ever make smart financial decisions?
"And here is the finalized paperwork and here are the keys, Ms.-?" The dealer approached faltering when it came to her name.
"Cat is fine. Thanks." Cat grabbed the keys and paperwork before heading out to her new car. Cat felt happy, the first time since Las Almas. Cat now had a Hellcat. Which she honestly should have bought rather than a Scatpack but the two cars own her heart outside of sportbikes. However with her missing two fingers on her right hand, Cat may have to take a break from riding her beloved bikes. When she rode like a maniac to Ana's place the other day, she noted it was difficult to use her clutch. So maybe it was time for Cat to take a break from bikes and use cars for the time being.
Cat smuggly left the dealership in her new car and drove her happy ass to take it to her place so she could tint it and remove the plate. As everyone around her would say, hoodlum shit. Was Cat going to modify this car as fast as she could before she had to meet with 141 later today? Yes. If she worked fast enough with the tint she should in theory have time to modify the exhaust. Cat liked having loud cars. Sue her.
Cat, did in fact, have plenty of time to modify her exhaust and tint her car. Is her car street legal anymore? No. Does she care? No. The tint Cat used was limo tint, and she used it on all her windows. Which is illegal but just her engine being stock is fast enough to run from the cops. Cat took off her fake plate from her Scatpack and she put it on her Hellcat before she left to meet up with 141. She drove fast, loving the power her car had. It gave her a distraction from the pain she felt in her heart from losing virtually all the people she called family. Sure she still had Ana, and 141 now. But what about Birdie and her dad, Hound, Astrid, and Julia? What about Hound's parents? What about Gary, is he alive or dead? Where was he? The first man she ever trusted and felt like he was a father figure? Thinking about who all she's lost made her head swim and honestly, she didn't want to deal with it.
Cat had to take a deep breath and shake her head of her thoughts. She was driving fast, pushing triple digits. Cat had to pull herself out of her mind to focus on driving and to slow down. Cat was close to the hotel Price told her to show up to, so Cat slowed down gradually and made sure no one was following her before she pulled into the parking lot. Her car was... loud and the noise of her car seemed to bounce off the building making it seem louder.
Cat eventually put her car in park and got out to lean against her car. Waiting for 141 to come outside because they heard her. She knew they did, also the fact that she had gotten there on time. Right at 5 o' clock in the evening. Sure enough she saw Ghost peek through the window and Cat desperately wished he didn't wear that stupid mask because Ghost is the only one who knows what car she had. But this Hellcat was different in color. Her Scatpack was white but her Hellcat was black. Cat felt smug as she watched the curtains close and within a few long moments, out came 141 through the front doors. Ghost's walk seemed like he was pissed or vaguely upset. Why? Cat wasn't really sure but not her problem. Hopefully.
"Cat! We saw this car on the news, why-"
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Cat interrupted Ghost trying to not seem confused.
"Cat- were you just going fast enough to outrun a helicopter?"
Cat froze, very confused, but she shook her head, "No? I wasn't chased by a helicopter. I have no idea what you're talking about."
