Yunjin is a gorgeous woman with hideous taste.
Chaewon discovers this after watching the woman she loves-no, likes- no, likes strongly -pick out the objectively worst mattress in the emporium.
The forest green color and rose pattern date it back several decades; it looks like the 80s threw up on it-no, shat on it and then threw up on it.
But Chaewon's not one to judge because the look on Yunjin's face when she sees the price tag can only be described as pure, unadulterated delight.
"It's only $37!"
Chaewon has had haircuts that cost more than that. Hell, Shiro probably has too.
"Good deal. You should get it!" Chaewon humors Yunjin.
Because that's what happens when you, ahem, strongly like someone. You don't tell them they have shitty taste. You don't try to change their shitty taste. You learn to live with their shitty taste because you strongly like them.
"Ooh! I need bedsheets too!" Yunjin realizes.
She runs off, disappearing for another hour (she made a detour at the massage chairs) before returning to Chaewon with the objectively worst bedsheets in the emporium.
"We're gonna sleep on that?" Chaewon tries to mask her disgust at Yunjin's pepperoni sheets.
Yunjin nods emphatically.
"I mean... we're gonna sleep on that!" Chaewon tries again, putting more excitement behind it.
Yunjin kisses her on the cheek and strolls over to the counter to discuss the details of the mattress delivery.
And while Yunjin argues with the store owner on whether she can lift the mattress over her head ("Excuse me, have you seen these?" Yunjin makes a point of flexing her biceps), Chaewon begins to question herself.
When did she and Yunjin become a "we"?
When did those eyesores become their bed and their sheets?
When did the phrase "let's make one last stop before going home" mean going to the butcher and asking him to "spare a bone and put it in a doggy bag?"
When did that doggy become hers too?
"All in all, I'd say we had a spectacular Sunday. Wouldn't you agree, Chaewon?"
And when, oh when, did Kim Chaewon's idea of a spectacular Sunday fall under the terms and conditions of Huh Yunjin being present and beside her during every minute of it?
