The scene starts with Max walking out of I.M.P. He walked from the building as he looked at his phone and checked his planner. He had one note labeled, Drinks with Loona. He opened his music app and put his headphones on as he went towards Millie and Moxxie's apartment.
Max had made it to the apartment and saw that the lights were off. He unlocked the door and put down his bag. It looked like nothing had been touched.
Max:"They must be asleep."
He walked into the hallway and looked in their room. Both Millie and Moxxie were asleep, but he noticed that their clothes were strum across the room. Max chuckled as he went to his room. He took one sigh before starting to fall.
Max:"What a day."
He flopped onto his bed and opened his phone to see that there was a old notification. He opened it and saw that it was from Loona.
Loona:You got home?
Max:Yeah, I just did. Millie and Mox are asleep so I'm alone.
Loona:So, question. How are you so-well rounded? How do you know so much?
Max chuckled at her question and typed out his answer.
Max: My parents had standards. I had to work for things and I was well-disciplined. So, I went to school. Have a degree in biology & psychology . But, my real job was engines for airplanes.
Loona: Damn. You had money and were educated. But, I don't understand how you ended up down here.
Max:Me too, still confused because I can't remember a single bad thing I did.
Loona:You'll figure it out.
Max:So, about tomorrow. U know anywhere to drink or eat?
Loona:Yeah, but this ain't a date. It's a hangout.
Max:I never said anything about it being a date.
Max chuckled slightly at her message and he got up to change into his night clothes. Being sleepy got to him and he felt his phone vibrate, but he didn't reach out to it as he fell asleep.
-The Next Day-
Max:"I got a job?"
Currently, Max had just stepped into Blitzø's office to just receive news that he would be getting a mission of his own for the very first time. Blitzø sat up in his seat as he swung around.
Blitzø:"Yep! I've decided to let you try a mission! I'm having Moxxie & Millie come with you to make sure nothing goes haywire since you hardly do anything during our real missions!"
Max shrugged his shoulders as he sat in the chair.
Max:"Well, am I your gun technician, but alright. Who's the target?"
Blitzø:"Someone named Jack Johnson. They killed someone who was sent to hell. He's caucasian, and lives on a farm. He also has an eagle carrying a snake tattoo on his right arm. So, I'm giving you this one case to complete. Here's the grimoire! Have Loona send you guys to the right place."
Max:"What's the location?"
Blitzø:"Someplace in dry ass Kansas! He apparently is a farmer. Now, don't fuck this up!!"
