*RING! RING! RING*

Stretching in his bed, Max pulled himself up from his bed and examined his room. His clothes discarded everywhere. The bed squeaked as he got up and examined what clothes to wear for the day.

On his dresser sat an adornment of pictures of him and his family. They range up from him as a child to him as a now adult, getting his first job. The last picture was of him, his father, and his mother. It was him in hunting gear as he stood over the antelope he shot.

The next couple of pictures were of Max at work or him building random objects with his friends. His parents had gotten older and suddenly, they were not in the photos. Max looked sad as he took more pictures than they just stopped.

Max took his clothes out and went towards the bathroom to take a shower. After a couple of minutes of showering, he went to his room and put on his clothes as he glanced at his watch. It was only 10 o' clock. He walked out of his apartment and felt the sun beaming down on his skin.

Max:"Another day..."

He walked towards his car, but then some kids ran up to him.

Kid#1:"Max! Max!"

Max:"Wassup! How y'all doing?"

Kid#2:"We were wondering if you have any money to spare, so we can get some Ice Cream?"

Max looked at the kids and chuckled at them before each of the kids a dollar.

Max:"Get y'all some ice cream."

Kids:"Thank you!!"

They all ran away while laughing as Max hopped in his car. Driving towards a grocery store, Max picked up some milk as he looked at a kid trying to buy something. But, apparently he was a couple dollars short. The clerk kept yelling at the kid as he searched for some extra money, but sadly none came out.

Max came up from behind the kid and took out some money he had.

Max:"Here kid. You need it more than me."

The kid gasped as he quickly took the money and paid for the items. The receipt came out and the kid left, but not before thanking Max. The clerk looked at him as he chuckled.

Max:"What's I tell you about the kids? Most of the time, they ain't gonna have the money."

Clerk:"*Chuckle* You sound just like your dad."

Max paid for his items as he left the store. Coming back to his apartment, he instantly changed into his work clothes.

Max:"Alright, let's get this over with."

He drove to his job and many others were walking in or clocking in. Max went in and clocked in before getting into his area. He did most of heavy-lifting. He would lift the big parts of the turbine into certain areas.

Max continued to work for a good 5 hours until it was near nighttime. He was sweating as he made his way into the workroom and grabbed his badge.

??:"Clocking out?"

Max looked to his left and saw his friend Chris. Chris and Max had met during College. They just kept together after college due to getting along during Catherine medicine classes.

Max:"Yeah, I'm clocking out. Gonna head home and watch the Lakers play."

Chris:"Alright man. I'll see you tomorrow."
